About this mod
A complete overhaul of Goodsprings with new models replacing almost every aspect of the town.
- Requirements
- Permissions and credits
- Donations
What has changed:
- complete rework of Prospector Saloon & General Store, aiming to bring them closer to their real world counterparts
- new unique model for Gas Station where Ringo hides
- new model and interior concept for Goodsprings schoolhouse - now a destroyed community hall hiding an abandoned bomb shelter
- new models for all the regular buildings in Goodsprings, now replaced with adobe homes and metal shacks (also released as separate modder's resource)
- loads of new props (furniture, clutter, pottery, lanterns and even burgers)
- reworked navmeshes to complement the changes
- working window lights at night
- reworked NPC AI packages, so now they move about the town, visit the Saloon, etc.
- LODs for buildings (use FNVLODGen)
Warning: This mod changes almost everything in the town, so it WILL conflict with any other mods that make any changes to the same places (both Worldspace and Cells). A clean start is heavily recommended. Unfortunately there's no other way for the mod to work without errors. Sorry.
How to install:
Just extract the .zip archive into your New Vegas/Data folder. To remove the mod either uncheck the .esp or delete the files.
Requirements:
If you want the LODs to work, it's recommended to use FNVLODGen. Otherwise the mod is standalone.
Known issues:
- due to the new interiors being much smaller in size, supermutant companions might get stuck in doorways. Saloon also might feel a bit too crowded during busy hours.
- while in interiors you can crouch jump out of them into the void. Some might consider that a feature.
Resources used:
Wicker Set by flintone/Garnet (edited chairs and chest)
Dry Canyon by TrickyVein (re-textured pottery)
I tried to test the mod as thoroughly as I could, but if any bugs show up, please let me know. I can't do anything about mod conflicts though.
