With Patch 2.0 you'll see custom Hunger, Dehydration, Sleep, Radiation and reputation icons. Oh, and I added 50+ icons.
Certain parts of it, require other mods for it to function properly. For custom Hunger, Dehydration, Sleep, and Radiation pop-up icons you need the Stewie's Tweaks (7.90 or above) For custom Reputation Pop-Up Icons you need JohnnyGuitar, and JIP For custom Challenge Pop-Up Icons you need the latest Consistent Pip-Boy Icons Plugin
What specific messages are you talking about? Got a screenshot?
If you are talking about something you know you can change with esm/esp, then sure, you can use my Framework plugin to do it espless. I think some of the messages need to have a specific function in order to change the icon. So even a simple esm/esp wont suffice. So if this is the case, then no. :-/
This is one of the messages I'm referring too. I'd like to change the messages for grenade bouquets, pressure plates, rigged shotguns, etc, to use the ninja icon. Get some use out of it, since I've never seen it used in vanilla.
I've tried adding "$TrapDisarmMsg$interface\icons\message icons\glow_message_vaultboy_ninja.dds" to an .ini file in the "ConsistentPipboyIcons" folder, but it doesn't work. It does work if I change it in an esp, though. Maybe it's hardcoded like the reputation icons?
Also, what happened to the source files and tutorial for CPI? I wanted to try my hand at making some icons for myself.
Sounds like a custom function needs to be made. This is sadly something I can not make. For the time being, creating a ESP is the only way of achieving your goal.
The source files have been temporary hidden. I have mostly forgotten about it, which is why it has been hidden for so long. I'll notify you when it is up again, which should be hopefully soon.
CVH is a requirement because of Interfaceshared0. The resources are there for the UI to call for the individual files, but mods such as VUI+, Darn, etc. needs to make the game call for the individual files, instead of Interfaceshared0.
I'd love it to make it not a requirement, but that's honestly not up to me.
Both this mod and Map Marker Icons have the previous version number in the FOMOD and in MO2's version checker. Is that wrong or is the wrong file being downloaded? I'm clicking on the newest version, which is 2.04 right now, but it says 2.03 in the FOMOD and MO2.
considering Clean Vanilla UI is part of STC now, I wont have the old plugin, but will have the VUI content managed by a merged STC plugin, I think. Are we good?
necroposting aside, there isn't an equivalent vault girl (or vault meat) counterpart, yet. tragiverse was relatively open with his perms when I obtained them for a [complete vault girl] upscale. When it comes to quality and intentionality, nothing even comes close to the same city as IAmJesusHChrist's Consistent series.
Can't see, how this is necroing. Jesus had some vault girl stuff in some files, if I recall right, and I'm just seconding a sentiment of another on mod that may well be the final version, due to the mishaps that occured, but may also be expanded.
But yeah, I am well aware of the peerless quality of his works and the amount of content for vault girl related imagery that you provide. As a matter of fact: Not only am I aware, I also reworked the vault girl artwork in your interfaceshared0.dds to be the same size as the icons in Jesus's cleaned interfaceshared0.dds and inserted them there, for compatability, so I'd have a more uniform HUD-appearance. (Meaning Jesus's non-vault boy cleaned HUD-elements and your now "somewhat cleaned up" female HUD-elements.)
Thanks for both your efforts. I wouldn't have commented here, were I in the possession of the necessary skills, to create the missing vault girl pop-up icons, myself. I'm just too artistically incapable and the best I was able to achieve, was refining what had already been created and making my own "compatability patch".
I have installed the Viva New Vegas Extended mods. Do I have to set the custom icons values in lStewie and Johnny Guitar configs or will your mod fo the job?

Is it possible to change the pop-up icon for disarming (or failing to disarm) a trap without changing it in an esm/esp?

You will need the latest version of VUI+ though.
