Changelogs
Version 1.0
Initial release. Allows the player to survive activating the purifier in hardcore mode.
"I will give unto him that is athirst of the fountain of the water of life, freely."
In Tale of Two Wastelands 3.3 with hardcore mode enabled, the player dies when activating the Jefferson Memorial water purifier themselves during the quest Project Impurity. By installing this mod, the player will survive the process, and wake up two weeks later as normal at the beginning of Broken Steel.
This is achieved by changing the ending slides that play back to the ones that would be displayed when completing the quest in non-hardcore mode, and disabling the progression of hardcore needs during the two-week timeskip, re-enabling them after Elder Lyons greets you when you wake up.
Can't you just disable hardcore mode when activating the purifier and then re-enable it afterwards? Yes, but I don't want to.
