I've run into the same issue that others seem too. The slide is locked back. I don't know what to do. I'm not one for a lot of mods, just what I need to fit the vibe of my character. I'm starting from a fresh install, so everything should be up to date. I'm hoping someone will see an issue that I don't yet. The only mods I have are:

i used this animation with IMI Desert Eagle mod and the animation didn't work. Is it not working because im using another mod that changes animation of the weapons????
Edit: Never mind im stupid, i later on realised there is a main file and some optional files in which i have to choose the desired file and download/install it.
Hey I know it says in the bugs section that the slide being stuck open issue was fixed but I still seem to be getting it. I am using Milenia's standalone IMI deagle mod. As a side note when installing the main files and than the optional files, MO2 registered them both as the same mod, and I ended up having to merge them both.
i would love to know how to get this to work lol i try and use it and it is making a shooting animation but no bullets are coming out and no damage is happening to anything i aim it at so its like shooting but no actual bullets are coming out any help would be amazing thanks in advance!!
