OVERVIEW
This mod adds a steam-based weapon, the Steamer Gun, fit with 4 different ammunition types and its own custom mesh.
FEATURES
Steamer Gun: Steam your enemies with the power of water! It ignores DT/DR and has a x1.5 limb damage multiplier. Crafted with 1 incinerator, 1 vacuum cleaner, 1 leaf blower, 1 steam gauge assembly and 2 rolls of duct tape.
Ammo:
- Steamer Fuel: Crafted with 4 drained flamer fuel tanks (how else would the water heat up?) and 2 purified water bottles. The dirty stuff won't do.
- Steamer Fuel Knockout: Crafted with 1 med-x, 4 drained flamer fuel tanks and 2 purified water bottles. It will quickly KO your enemies
- Steamer Fuel Alcohol: Crafted with 4 drained flamer fuel tanks and 2 bottles of vodka. The lower boiling point means it won't hurt as much, but your gun will last longer. Eventually, I might get around to adding a poison effect once I figure out ammo-specific scripting.
- Steamer Fuel Battery Fumes: Crafted with 4 drained flamer fuel tanks, 1 fission battery and 2 purified water bottles. This is the most powerful of the ammo types, but it's quite corrosive on the gun, reducing condition.
Fiends will rarely carry this weapon.
ISSUES
Yes, I realize it's shooting fire and not steam. I couldn't figure out how to satisfyingly change it to steam without just replacing the texture (which would turn every fire into steam), so I decided to let the downloader use their imagination :)
INSTALL/UNINSTALL
To do it manually, put SteamerGun.esp in your Data folder and the SteamerGunMeshes folder in your Data\meshes folder. Remove the ESP file and SteamerGunMeshes folder to uninstall.
Alternatively, you can use a mod manager.
