Spore Plant Melee Attack and Tweaks

Spore Plants had a melee attack animation file, which they never used even when forced to, due to mysterious reasons.

It turns out the mysterious reason was the lack of equip and unequip anim files for entering/exiting h2h mode.

Even with those, Spore Plants, like any NPC that is given the option, always prefer a "gun" (their spit attack) over resorting to melee. So an extra bit of jank (a.k.a. scripting) is required to make them behave.

  • Spore Plants can now switch between their spit attack if their target is at range, and their much quicker melee attack if it comes near enough.
  • Their attack damage stat has been dramatically increased for this melee attack to make sense. You all can imagine the excruciating pain of getting your finger bitten by a venus flytrap's noodly vegetable teeth.
  • Both their spit attack and bite is poisonous, and use the Green Gecko poison effect. It's Fallout, I ain't got to explain s**t. But now it's also configurable in the ini.
  • They cannot be knocked down, because they don't even have get up anims, are rooted to the ground, and punching a plant to exhaustion makes no sense. We use herbicides for that.
  • Their "immobile" flag is removed. They have neither movement anims nor flags anyways, but removing this flag is also needed to allow them to melee attack. You can't imagine the amount of chicanery I had to sit through to figure all this stuff out.
  • They are now also scripted to continuously face their target, since you cannot count on them to rotate on their own successfully most of the time. No more exploiting going round their back to attack.
  • And they also had to be scripted to update their melee attack damage stats when they load up, due to a bug with templated actors that seemed to affect particularly one of the spore plant versions from Honest Hearts. This means that it is almost a certainty templated actors are bugged in other circumstances and fashions, but nobody can notice or give a damn about it. Fallout New Vegas was a mistake.
  • I've fixed some inventories and death items, so OWB spore plants should no longer heal by eating their spores, and all types of them should drop spores on death.

Mod edits all spore plant creatures directly, so use xEdit to solve compatibility problems. Aaand done.
