About:
If you've played with Simply Uncut and been to 188 Trading Post, you've probably met Uncle Leo from Fallout 3, except... wait, that's not right. Uncle Leo is a Vault 87 Super Mutant, but he sure looks like one of The Master's Super Mutants.

This mod aims to fix that, and do so using only assets included with Fallout: New Vegas, for the obvious legal reasons. Isn't it great, then, that the FO3 super mutant texture, and even one of the models is included in New Vegas?

This mod uses a modified FNV super mutant mesh to recreate the look of Fallout 3 super mutants. The body was easy to remap to the FO3 texture because the UV islands where almost entirely unchanged, just mirrored over their center to make more space for the head. Speaking of the head, that was less easy. After reshaping the mouth and reshaping the FO3 head included in NV in smspinebreakervault.nif, I was able to copy the UV map from the FO3 head to the NV head. Doing this wasn't perfect, and it still required quite a bit of fixing and tweaking, but in the end, this worked really well, and the head came out looking great.

Now, you might be asking, if the actual FO3 head is included in New Vegas, why didn't I just use it wholesale instead of going through the work of changing the NV head? Well, basically, the New Vegas head is just better. Higher poly, 3D eyes, better-looking teeth, etc. In comparison, the Fallout 3 head is just kinda ugly.

Installation:
The main file includes V87UncleLeo.esp. This ESP is designed to be merged, not activated. It includes Bash Tags allowing Wrye Bash to easily merge it into a Bashed Patch for easy, one-click use... Or at least it would if other mod authors used Bash Tags. As it stands, a Bashed Patch is useless due to lack of support, unless you want to tag all of your mods yourself. If mod authors bothered to include tags, it would be an invaluable resource for managing conflicts...
Anyway, this ESP should be mergeable using FNVEdit's Merged Patch, or you can merge manually.

Alternatively, if you can't or don't want to merge the mod, the optional files includes an alternative ESP, V87UncleLeo - Simply Uncut.esp. This plugin is designed to be activated with Simply Uncut - New Vegas, and doesn't require merging. If you have nothing but Simply Uncut modifying FFER66UncleLeo, this should work fine for now. Unlike the mergeable plugin, this one isn't future-proof, and any future updates to Simply Uncut could break it.
