    I took a look at this mod and decided to remake it with a cleaner implementation.

    Instead of overwriting the two ending slides, my version adds the "GetVampire" condition to prevent them from playing and for the actual end slide the mod intends to play I just edited the VStoryState variable check from >= 64 to >= 63, so it'll now play in the House ending as intended. This also means that you don't need to reuse any audio files.

      Hello. Thanks for taking a look at it.
      I downloaded and tested it, but there seems to be a problem. It jumps from Lily's slide directly to Rex's, not displaying the Kings'.
      I like the idea of having a lighter file with the same functionality, but I don't understand what you did here (my knowledge with the GECK is pretty limited). Could you explain it for me again?

      I edited the dialogue conditions to manipulate the end slides. It's very easy to do once you know what you're doing.
      And I will take a look at the file later.

    In case anyone else is using FPGE and wants the dialogue here to be real, I have found a mod that purports to do so, and is actively maintained (unlike others mentioned in these comments). So every man can be a king, in his own right.

    why do you recommend installing the mod manually instead of using a mod manager? there is no advantage to installing a mod manually in 2022 instead of using mod organizer 2, as far as i'm aware.

    but at any rate, thank you for the mod. it's a must have for my mr house playthrough. there is no way my courier wouldn't intervene before the securitrons wiped all the kings out.

      That was because, when testing out the mod to see if everything was working fine, I've had a couple errors when using a Mod Manager, and none when installing it manually. As I didn't want anyone having this issue, I've left the recommendation there.
      That happened on the very early stages of the mod, though. It is very unlikely to happen now. Still, I'll leave the text there for context and consideration.

    For future reference, the only thing needed for mod manager download is for you to treat the archive as if it is the data folder. There isn't any benefit to disabling it in this case.

    Also, a better solution than replacing the audio with silence is you can remove the second response with xEdit - it simply won't play in that case.

      btw didn't mean to sound unappreciative - didn't really think this could be so easily fixed. Simply changing the line is such a clean way to resolve this kinda silly point. Feels like they made House super mean to the Kings for no real reason in the epilogue just to make him seem like a worse option.

    Haha, I'm maxed out on luck I just started this game to find out the most have mod for my playthrough is in 2021 how nexus survived this long without mod like that?

    Does this also fix the ending where the Kings get slaughtered by House's Securitrons if they *don't* make peace with the NCR, but also don't attack them? Because in vanilla, the only circumstance under which they live in a House ending is if their standoff with NCR in G.I. Blues ends violently.

      I haven't used FPGE, but I'd wager that it would be a mixture of yes and no.
      "Yes" because since what this mod does is alter some voice files, you shouldn't have any issue.
      "No" because if FPGE shows that the Kings are now all dead if you've followed the route mentioned in the description (ease tensions between the NCR and The Kings in the quest "G.I Blues" and convinced The King to make peace with the NCR in "Kings' Gambit"), then you'd have a "plot hole" of sorts.
      I don't know how FPGE affects The Kings, but depending on what it is, we could figure something out.

      As far as I can tell, since the Kings are wiped out in the vanilla House ending, they're also missing in FPGE. But I don't know how FPGE checks for that.

      I believe one of the plugins will meet what you seek. I'm just not entirely sure if it'll affect the ending slides as well.
      Worth checking it out.

      Yes, it is compatible - with a patch. Ryanmar's FPGE Patch Collection includes one for this mod.
