The Weapon Repair Kit recipe now yields 5 Weapon Repair Kits (think of it as making a repair kit with 5 "charges"). You also get to keep your Wrench, as it is presumably used as a tool and not as one of the ingredients that get consumed in the process, so no reason for it to just vanish afterwards.
