Not worth the effort in my opinion, other than the vault dweller outfit and wasteland MD outfits, the outfits would have to be remade or heavily edited. The Vegas samurai and detective outfits have no female versions available, because they were all intended to only be used by male, even in vanilla New vegas. Vegas samurai is made primarily out of Dean Domino's suit with a guitar weight painted on (which is one of the most difficult things to do for armor making) and the female version of deans suit was just grimy pre war business wear. The detective coat either a fallout 3 coat or the mysterious strangers, if he used the latter, he would definitely have to remake it for females. IDK what mrconvict used for the wasteland preacher, but there might be a female version out there. The vault dweller outfit and wasteland MD outfits seem to be primarily retextures with bits and pieces added on in blender and adjusted in nifskope. I'm not trying to indirectly call you an idiot who doesn't understand armor mods, I'm just pointing out how much would need to happen for female versions to happen.
Yeah Odawagthecool has hit it on the head there. Its a real pain to remake male assets for use for female models. I'm not apposed to making female variants but If I do then it will most likely be some of the outfits and not all of them. Vault Gambler and Wasteland MD should hopefully have female models by the next update though so don't worry about those.
You don't need to weight paint, Oda, you can just do it as an armor addon, like backpack on power armor for example. You even can do it as a weapon backpack like you see with flamethrowers as an example. That's how it was done in the original Six-String Samurai mod https://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/35993 . And that's not Domino, that's a fancy gambler suit retextured https://fallout.fandom.com/wiki/Fancy_gambler_suit
Duskill The gambler suit does have the issue where it looks different for female characters though. There are work arounds like using https://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/45169 same for the detective coat: https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout3/mods/10375
I can fully understand not wanting to make armors for both genders. Most of the time it's basically the original work multiplied.
I wasn't saying he should make armors for both genders ¯\_(?)_/¯ I usually just put both genders for whichever gender the armor is. Gender bending is not a bug, it's a gameplay feature.
Just for your information, I'd like to report that one of the credit you posted for a ressource comes from one of my mod that is not credited properly from the """original""" uploader. No hate to you though.
This duster comes from my mod "The Joker in New Vegas" first uploaded in March 2015. Here's a pic of my mod where the coat is clearly visible https://staticdelivery.nexusmods.com/mods/130/images/58449-36-1470322439.jpg.
Also SepticSeptim "stole" from me from the past with his Donal Trump mask mod ( https://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/63690 ) he made using my Micheal Myers mask from my Fallout 3 TTW Overhaul ( here's a pic where you can see the mask in my mod https://staticdelivery.nexusmods.com/mods/130/images/62577/62577-1587653908-137406021.png ).
I don't really care for permission, but I'm a tad salty that someone would redistribute my work as free to use ressource and claim it as its own.
You may do whatever you want or nothing at all with this information. I won't sue you LMAO. I just thought that'd be fairer if you knew
Seems crazy that someone would take someone take some else's stuff without permission just to put it up as a resource. I've actually fallen foul to using a resource only to find out it's stolen later in the past so it's happened at least twice.
Does mrconvict have your permission to use your mesh if he updates the credits?
In fact, i'm always super glad people take my assets to make something else with it. I just want to be made aware of it, because sometime there's assets I don't own in my mods.
In fact my Joker mod uses one of you mesh Flamenx ! Difference is, I commented before uploading it as you wished
Aye I remember that :D . That's why I usually like people to check first too, so they don't get in trouble for using someone who's not me's stuff without permission
Thanks for the permission man. Sorry that I credited him, i'll add your name so that your recognized for your work. Also, very nice job with those outfits.
Hey. For the the detectives arms if you want them to show up in first person just rename the part in nifskope from upperbody to arms (by clicking txt next to the name field which isn't instantly obvious):
Spoiler:
Show
Usually what you want is parts that are to hidden in first person called upperbody (naming it other things can cause some clipping with the camera) and stuff you want to show arms, though this is not always possible with all meshes. The other parts are meat parts are for dismemberment and pipboy on and pipboy off)
Also someone did a version of the trenchcoat for fallout 3 with arms and pipboy compatibility:
Also you mentioned the rookie cop outfit being broken. If you send it to me or Duskill or include it in the next update (but not set up in geck) we could see if we could fix it.
Thanks man, I appreciate it. Its a weird one, works fine in GECK in NifSkope. But as soon as its in the game the meshes start to spaz out and stretch across the map.
It's probably eitherone of the body parts has the same name as a bone in nifskope in which case you just need to rename it or the bone weights are messed up in which case you need to fix it in blender/3dsmax (either using weight painting or the bone weight copy script)
Think it must be the weight values. Check the branch listings and everything seems to have a unique name to it. I'm planning on updating the mod with some new stuff in the next day or two so i'll add the outfit into the files if you want to take a look for yourself.
