About this mod

Turn books, hides and scrap metal into armor pads made of paper, leather or metal to boost your defense. Complete quests to get recipes for better materials.

This is my second "scavenger wastelander" mod (the first one was Gun Maintenance). It should be lore-friendly.
Make materials out of books, hides and scrap metal. Use these materials to create padding for your armor made of paper, leather or metal. Each padding has their own pros and cons (you can look at screenshots for some of them).

Currently (as of version 1.3) there are 12 padding types:

  • Paper Pads
[+3 DT, +1 DR, -2 AGI]
  • Laminated Paper Pads
[+4 DT, +2 DR, -1 AGI]
  • Leather Pads
[+5 DT, +1 DR, +15% Fire Resistance, +5% Radiation Resistance]
  • Laminated Leather Pads
[+7 DT, +2 DR, -1 AGI, +25% Fire Resistance, +10% Radiation Resistance]
  • Metal Plates
[+8 DT, +4 DR, -1 AGI, +35% Fire Resistance, +5% Radiation Resistance]
  • Reinforced Metal Plates
[+10 DT, +6 DR, -1 AGI, +35% Fire Resistance, +10% Radiation Resistance]
  • Light Duraframe Plates
[+4 DT, +9 DR, +20% Fire Resistance, +20% Energy Resistance, +5% Radiation Resistance]
  • Reinforced Duraframe Plates
[+9 DT, +16 DR, +25% Fire Resistance, +25% Energy Resistance, +5% Radiation Resistance]
  • Light Composite Plates
[+6 DT, +6 DR, +30% Fire Resistance, +15% Radiation Resistance]

To make armor paddings you need to level up your Survival skill high enough: Paper (25), Leather (50), Metal (75) and Composite (100).
In order to make Duraframe Paddings, you have to complete ED-E My Love quest line (after completion, you will be able to create Duraframe Alloy if you have Science of 100). Be ready to spend a lot of caps to make Duraframe Paddings.

P.S.
All padding currently uses NoseRing armor slot so they are incompatible with any items that use this slot as well.
