Let's face it, jazz is the only music that really fits into the New Vegas world. Mysterious Broadcast is the only station worth listening to and best of all, no lame DJ unlike Wave radio's boring and annoying Blake who never stops talking or the DJ from Radio New Vegas who also never shuts up and is boring and sleep-inducing to listen to (plus, RNV only ever plays Big Iron). My only beef with the mod, is that the additional audio files aren't normalized and are way too loud.
When I installed this mod my Mysterious Broadcast radio station no longer shows up? It only shows a station named Old World Blues. Is this normal behavior? Are all the songs on just this one radio station? Or am a having a conflict with other mods that could be causing this issue.
What happens if I delete some mp3 from mod folder? Will it work correctly and just automatically skip that track in queue?
p.s. Also info for those, who interested in volume normalization of the tracks from this mod to the comparable volume of vanilla radio. With adding the same effect of old radio for the stationary radio in the game world.
Spoiler:
Show
1. You can automatically do a volume normalization of all tracks via MP3Gain program. I recommend target volume 78.8 dB (same as vanilla).
2. For the stationary radio, before convert normalized MP3 to OGGs I recommend prepare separate versions of MP3 with adding to it "Helmet Radio 1-5.NY" effect through the Audacity (to achieve the same effect of old radio as the vanilla stationary radio have). There is a macros mode for batch processing.
As a long time player of FNV, I am constantly looking for new mods to add to my load order. THIS mod hits the jackpot! Really adds mood & enjoyment to OWB. A fantastic addition to my game and will now be a permanent addition to my load order.
