UPDATE: Version two has sound patches for the sandstorms, yay! The original mod used the vanilla AMBHiddenValleySandstormLoop sound record. That record has "2D Radius" checked instead of just plain "2D". That's why the sound wouldn't play at all, even from the console. Furthermore I have added a patch for better visibility in sandstorms, so you can move around easier.
nvm i change the load order and now there is clouds in the strip. however the clouds are the non vanilla/modded version and not the vanilla clouds that I see in other locations. (This happens only in the strip)
Western Sky is, indeed, one of the best weather and lighting mods on the Nexus; however...
Whether just on its own or (possibly, don't know) as a result of a conflict with YUP and/or Interior Lighting Overhaul, interiors show the wrong time of day through the windows. For example, light will come in through windows after sundown, but not after sunrise.
The solution, I have discovered, is to use either the GECK or xEdit to open the 'Regions' group within the main .esp and delete the NVInteriors region, which will revert interiors to vanilla.
You don't really lose out on anything by making this change, anyway, particularly if you use an interior lighting overhaul like ILO or SILO.
Thank you. I don't mind sandstorms in principle. but not for the vegas area. its a scrub desert. not a sandy desert. I have lived here for 17 years and not once was there a sandstorm warning (flood warning yes, but no sandstorms)
Interesting to know that you lived there. I've never been to the Mojave, but visited a similar landscape in Tabernas, Spain which was the location for the Spaghetti Westerns. More rocky than sandy, so no sandstorms there either :)
Sandstorms are definitely a thing in the Sonoran desert (though not in the Mojave), but they're a seasonal thing even there. Of course, that's why the BoS would have to generate theirs artificially. :)
- Sound fix for sandstorms, they are no longer silent. All of the 3 esp have been installed but sandstorms still silent, any advices? Western Sky - Sandstorm Fixes.esp Western Sky - Disable Sandstorms.esp Western Sky - Strip Fix.esp
- Disable sandstorms alltogether. Sorry, didn't follow you, what disabled exactly? I can still see sandstorms (Of course I want, just have no idea about this feature)
Thanks for your patches, it's indeed an underrated mod, I don't even need ENB when use it, it's beautiful and FPS friendly!

But you have Sandstorm Fixes and Disable Sandstorms installed. There is no point in having fixes for something you disable.
Yes this is lightweight and a good ENB alternative. I dumped ENB after I found this mod.
