Okay, so, Goodsprings is a poor, post-apocalyptic town so they wouldn't be burying people in cement. It's likely just a person in a box, in the ground. Now, given enough time, that wood can decay. Sporocarps can colonise decaying wood. Which is wha you're seeing there. You don't see sporocarps at most gravesites because many people choose to have their graves filled in with cement. However, there are graves where a person will just chose to be buried in a box, and in those cases—given enough time—you'll see sporocarps colonising the decaying wood.
In other words, having them turn up at the Goodsprings cemetary is completely believable.
the open grave belongs to the courier, who was buried without a coffin, and this grave was dug only a few days before the courier comes back to life, so no it doesn't really make sense mushrooms would grow that quickly.
In all honesty, it just kind of popped into my head at the time that I was working on it and I thought, 'well, that's a cool idea, let's do it'. So, thanks Duskwolf for the explanation, but I kind of just thought it was a cool image at the time. lol.
When I eventually get around to revisiting this mod in the future, I'm probably going to at least tweak the grave and either make some other changes to it or remove the mushrooms.
From what I remember, I don't think that I made any edits to the schoolhouse itself and I don't think that I touched the area where that mod put the new NPCs as part of a repair shop either. So, it should be entirely compatible hopefully.
Really like the mod, but for me some walls doesn't load high res textures (walls in the gas station), do you have any idea why this might be? (Update: not the mod's problem, my mistake)
This is pretty solid and I'm probably going to use this for every playthrough from now on. Goodsprings was already great so a light expansion is perfect for it. The street lights are a good touch in particular.
Looks amazing, I love the detailing you have done and the placement of the trucks and cars, Along with some beautiful and more immersive additions to Goodsprings, I look forward to seeing the rest of your work, Thank you.
Great work! I especially like the addition of the hazardous materials truck - NV needs more instances of radiation dispersed throughout. Would this happen to be compatible with Simple Street Lights?
