Adds two new craftable weapons that expand on the Holorifle idea from Dead Money, being based on the 25mm Grenade APW instead of on the Grenade Launcher. These weapons are semi-automatic, doing less damage than the normal Holorifle but with higher DPS and magazine capacity as well as a faster reload.

This mod adds a new weapon with two variants, a semi-automatic energy weapon based on the Holorifle idea from Dead Money. Instead of being based on the Grenade Launcher, it's a modified 25mm Grenade APW from GRA. These weapons are balanced to do less damage per shot than the Holorifle, but with higher DPS, higher item health, greater magazine capacity, more ammo usage, higher rate of fire, and slightly higher spread. Both new weapons can use all of the same mods that the Holorifle uses, which can be obtained an unlimited number of times from Sierra Madre Vending Machines once you've discovered the vending codes.

Both weapons must be crafted at a workbench. The player must find a note from Elijah in order to construct the Advanced Holorifle (this note is not in Dead Money - see Locations below for an exact location) using 1 Camera, 1 Conductor, 2 Scrap Electronics, and a 25mm Grenade APW, requiring 65 skill in Energy Weapons and returning 1 Scrap Metal. Using the Advanced Holorifle enough (read: getting kills with it) will complete a new Challenge that awards the ability to craft the Elite Holorifle, using 1 Camera, 2 Conductors, 3 Scrap Electronics, and a 25mm Grenade APW, requiring 80 skill in Energy Weapons and returning 1 Scrap Metal. The completion of the challenge results in a different on-screen message depending on the player's Intelligence stat.

Finally, those improved holo-weapon designs Elijah mentions in dialogue are actually in the game!

I did not want to lock players out of the Elite Holorifle schematics based upon any SPECIAL stats, so hopefully the different messages will help against people being bothered that a low Intelligence Courier could create a better weapon
. Note that being able to actually craft the weapon is based on Energy Weapons skill, which is independent of Intelligence.

KNOWN ISSUES
The placement of the Courier's forward hand right at the end of the reload animation looks strange. This is a vanilla animation bug, and appears with vanilla weapons, most strikingly the LAER.

The glass part of the scope that the player can see in first-person is darker and less shiny than that of the vanilla Holorifle, and I don't really know why, since it uses the same exact texture. Please report anything else you find in the comments.

CONFLICTS
This mod does not directly alter any base game weapons, textures, leveled lists, or form lists. However, the weapons do depend on a few vanilla textures. This mod also places a single item inside a particular cell (see Locations above).

RECOMMENDATIONS
I recommend my mod, Alternate Laser Scope Reticle, which is fully compatible with this mod.

INSTALLATION
Put the contents of the mod folder (the folder with the .esp inside of it) into your Data folder, or use a mod manager. To uninstall, delete the mod's files (.esp, meshes, and textures) or uninstall using a mod manager.
