OVERVIEW

This mod adds a recolor of the standard NCR Patrolling Ranger armor along with removing its faction alliance. Adding improved sneak skill, this armor is sturdier, lighter and darker but also more fragile. Just like the Riot Gear variants of Lonesome Road, you'll be able to wear this without changing your rep or turning anyone hostile. After all...the point is not to be seen easily...right?

FULL LIST OF FEATURES

  • Factionless NCR Ranger Blackops Armor
  • Matching Blackops Ranger helmet (credit to nickheggo for permission on letting me use his helmet - check his mod out for many more variants)
  • Facemask (as seen on NCR Rangers at the Hoover Dam) is now playable and wearable for extra edginess stealth
  • a player home (with basement) in Nipton (don't ask why, I just went with Nipton.)
  • 2 Ranger Blackops locations, with map markers
  • Lucky 38 map marker because why wasn't it there in the first place?
  • Boone is now part of smokingfaction, meaning when you give him a pack of cigarettes, he smokes
  • Unique sniper rifle "Game Misconduct" (night vision and silencer) and marksman rifle "Sleeping Pills" (extended mag, silencer)
  • MREs outside of Lonesome Road - Rangers gotta eat

INSTALLATION

If done manually, all that is needed is to pull the files into the labelled folders.
I'm a first-timer, so here's to hoping, right?
To uninstall, simply delete all files.

LOCATION

Unlike most mods, you're not going to find these items in Goodsprings. The unique rifles will be in the player home in Nipton, right at the entrance of the town. You'll find a few useful and neat items there, although they're mostly cosmetic.

The armor and helmets as well as the standard issue NCR Ranger rifle (marksman rifle) are found inside the 2 hideouts. Naturally, they aren't in the open because they aren't intended for wasteland scum standard wastelanders. One hint, however- check the backside of the boxcar north of Jean's Skydiving.

FINISHING WORDS

This is my first mod, so I'm heavily expecting some issues. Do me a solid and when you find them, PLEASE let me know. I'll try to fix them ASAP and update the file. The Ranger tab on the left pauldron is mirrored, as I couldn't be fucked to edit it. If you can fix it for me, I'll happily credit you.

Since a few assets from Old World Blues were used, you'll need to have that in order to use it. Most of you all have the Ultimate Edition anyway, so...
