Also, the final version with one last fix has just been released! Enjoy!

P.S. - Please don't post spoilers here, if you can manage it. Thanks.

Don't think I didn't notice that Spyro the dragon music at the end there. Fun mod man.

Excellent quest mod. I enjoyed the atmosphere and the new music within the caves was an added bonus. The voice acting was good and I enjoyed the "museum" part of the mod where all the behind the scenes information was revealed. Thanks for the enjoyable mod.

    That Museum idea is great!
If I ever do a quest mod I will do it too.

A little late to the party but this is a beautifully orchestrated mesh of whacky elements, lore, mystery, challenge, curiosity and drama but most of all thoroughly enjoyable. I am a total sucker for anything revolving around noir-esque and the unknown. The vibes, story, and overall theme are akin to some of the other comments here said on love-craft. The tidbits of music only exemplify the themes and moods of Darkwood. The resolution is enough to to sate ones longing for answers but leaves you wanting more. It is yet another addition that I must have in every play through. Thank you for the time and talent and I look forward to seeing more content from you in the future. Bravo

My pleasure. The talent in this community is seemingly never ending. With passionate gems like this one, and a handful of others, FNV will seemingly never end. Just pace yourself friend-don't let the GECK burn ya out. Cheers

Just wanted to say congrats on what is shaping up to be a fun little twin peaks inspired Mod, loving the audio work. you seem to have blended some very Badelmanti-esque stuff with the FNv soundscape really well.

thanks again and remember, the owls are not what they seem...

This is a pretty nice mod! It's got a great worldspace and really nails the atmosphere. Some of the dark beasts did actually give me a jolt after popping up suddenly when I least expected it haha. Some of the best audio quality with voices for a mod that I've encountered too.

Okay so I got around to playing this mod finally and I have to say while it wasn't perfect and had a couple small odd patches here and there, I actually really enjoyed this mod more than I thought I would.
The story was kinda predictable but the plot devices put that off enough to give it a little more character. The side quests are a different story however, they're short and can be challenging but are mostly fun and have some decent rewards.
The characters were a real mixed bag honestly, the detective is a really shallow character and genuinely feels somewhat out of place in the whole mod, and not in the outsider kind of way, in the "this feels tacked on" kind of way. Also I do not know if it was intended to make Wilbur walk backwards 90% of the time but after fighting some of the enemies and getting my pre level 20 companion escorted ass handed to me by some of the enemies in the incredibly bleak setting, you better believe a guy making camp in the wilderness staring straight ahead and walking backwards had me a little spooked.
Speaking of the setting, the worldspace is pretty damn impressive for one man's work. It feels a little stretched, like everything was placed farther from everything else to try and make it seem bigger, but other than that, it has nice variety, the spooky places are spooky, the freaky places are a decent amount of freaky and the titular town feels like an unassuming little backwater town (having grown up in one, it felt very home-y).

If nothing else, the end is worth it, the end is amazing and I may have found a hole that a frag grenade fits through perfectly at the end and maybe ruined the whole thing a little to my own great amusement.
The Museum is a really neat touch too, very informative.
