What is this mod? Rant version:

It has always been my opinion that robots are far, and I mean FAR too weak in Fallout 3/NV/4. They are made out of steel and composites from 2050-2077ish level tech and they are weaker than humans, large insects, animals... pretty much everything. A "thug" in freeside has 200 hp, and a Securitron has 120. A Sentry bot is described in game as "One of the most dangerous robots ever created" yet it does SIX (yes, 6) damage a shot (watch out bloatflies, you may be in moderate danger... if it could hit you) and has less armor than a human in Combat Armor Mk1, or a Centurian in armor scrapped together from sports equipment and a few metal plates. LOL. I remember when New Vegas came out, I got to the Strip, and I saw the Securitron guards and was like "wow they are pretty cool. Lets save, and then just for fun, attack them to see if they could stop me from getting in" Needless to say, I was very disappointed in how weak they were. I asked myself why the Fiends weren't just rushing in, how were these weak ass robots keeping the peace?

In addition to this, there are a ton of idiotic issues in the game, like Hardened Sentry Bots having no DT, a lot of Securitrons having no DT,  Mr. Gutsy having more DT than Securitrons or Sentry Bots (how the hell does a floating robot have more armor than bigger robots on wheels?) for that matter, a Mr. Handy has more armor than a bunch of the combat robots in the game.... I get New Vegas was rushed by the publisher but holy shit, this is like 10 minutes of work to fix, and a patch was never put out.

But wait, there is more! Whoever was in charge of difficulty must have been from Bethesda, because we wouldn't want baby (the player) to ever die! So, we put in timers in Combat Style for robots to just stand there picking their noses (well, if they had one) so you don't get hurt too much. Yes, actual delay timers to just stand there not shooting. I removed those. Another issue was robots have AI to "dodge" but can't side step because they are on wheels... so they have to STOP SHOOTING, turn around like a retard, move left or right, then face you, then continue firing. 

I am amazed, that there is no mod out to buff robots. A buff to super mutants is up, raiders, every faction, animals, you name it but not robots... at least not enough of a buff. Not one I've found by searching "robot buff" etc. Maybe I suck at searching. Anyway, I made a mod many years ago, I just never shared it. I decided that since I am playing NV again, I'd whip up a quick version of my mod and share it with the community. I have a much larger mod redoing all the armor, weapons, and NPCs in the game from like 2014 I found on my HD, I am going over it, doing tweaks and I might share that later. 

What is this mod? Fast Facts version:

- Increase all combat robot DT by a huge amount. In addition, robots gain DR of varying amounts. They are combat robots made of steel, yes your standard bullets are just going to bounce off. Now there is a reason to use pulse.
- Buffed robot weapons hugely. A Sentry Bot or Securitron Mk II can cut you in half now if you aren't careful. Gatling laser as an example was 6 damage a shot, now its 25. There was also INSANELY high spread values so they couldn't hit the side of a barn, I greatly reduced those. Explosive damage increased for the missile/grenade by 25%. Single shot weapons like Gutsy's plasma and Protectron Laser have less of a delay and fire faster. 
- Changed combat data so robots are much more aggressive, and will shoot more, wobble around like retards less (LESS, sadly can't find a way to eliminate it) 
- Added Health (varying amounts, not too much) through an ability to Robots... this was much faster and less intrusive than editing every single robot on the list. Sentry Bots had a less pathetic health pool so got less, other robots got more, usually 20-80. The side effect is you won't see their health go down until this extra health is burnt through. Example: A standard Mr. Gutsy has 75 HP, + 50 in abilities =125. This means, if you target him in VATS you will see 125 HP, but you won't see the health bar go down until you burn through that 50 HP. BLIND mod will display no damage numbers until you burn away that 50 bonus HP, but trust me, you are doing damage. Think of it as a shield to burn through, if that helps. Protectrons are still the shittiest robots, but they are much tougher and more dangerous than Vanilla. Now, you might see a reason why buildings protected by them aren't just taken by raiders or scavengers. 
- Edited BodyPartData for robots. Short version is, shooting the torso is bad, you will do less damage. Shooting a Sentry Bot's arms where its weapons and ammo are do more damage, Shooting a Brainbot in the brain is better than the torso, etc. 
- I would estimate that on average the higher tier robots are 3-4 times more dangerous now. "OMG 50 DT on the Sentry Bot!?" Yes. It's a mini tank. Boo Hoo, your .44 magnum or "This Machine" can't really hurt it. Granted, all your ribs would be broken but it still stopped it dead. You don't think Sentry Bots/Securitrons have armor like that? I think I went low on their DT. 

This is a quick mod I made based on a much larger mod I have. If you find mistakes, or things I missed, let me know. If you think robots are still too weak, let me know. However... I don't really want to hear "robots are too strong now" No, they were too weak in Vanilla. They should be hard enemies. Use pulse, .50 rifle, missile launchers, ZAP glove, Proton Axe, Super Sledge, buff drugs, AP ammo, over charge energy ammo, damage perks, sneak by them, etc. You can't just Rambo a high end robot naked anymore.... well not as easily. If they are too tough even with the weapons I mentioned, and you think you have a reason why they are too tough, then voice it.

Compatibility: 

This mod is very simple and should be compatible with 99% of mods out there. I only edited robot embedded weapons, DT values, robot Combat Style and gave robots that didn't have DT some DT. Lastly, robot BodyPartData was edited. I know there is a mod out that fixed Hardened Sentry Bots, so this mod would make that mod redundant. "NPCs Can MIss" is a good mod and I recommend it if you play with hardcore damage, but it give major penalties to NPCS not crouch shooting.... robots can't crouch. If you use "NPCs Can MIss" then I would recommend editing down any values that might impact robots too much, like standing penalty. A few major overhauls might hit the same values I have... check them out for yourself.

Testing: 

If you want to see if this mod is for you, its very simple: First, get your character appropriate level/gear through console. Next, spawn robots: Bring down console with ~ and type: player.placeatme X where X = (see below) You may want to shut off AI until you are ready (tcai to turn off and on) or God Mod: tgm to observe without getting wrecked.
