This mod adds a single example of the unique BB Gun featured in Fallout 1/2: The Red Ryder LE. Compared to the normal BB gun and the Abilene Kid LE BB gun, the Red Ryder boasts higher base damage, improved critical characteristics, and more durability.

This mod adds a single example (Not super well-hidden) of the Classic Red Ryder LE BB Gun featured in Fallout 1/2. As one of my favorite weapons, I decided to make a mod including it in NV. Like in 1/2, I made the weapon a great upgrade to the standard BB gun and a weapon that can hold its own against more conventional firearms. Compared to the standard BB gun and the Abilene Kid LE BB Gun, the Red Ryder has increased stats across the board. Its base damage, crit rate, durability, and accuracy are higher than its siblings. It also requires less action points to use and has an increased VATS hit rate (Currently). It does, however, require quite a bit of investment in the Guns skill and decent strength to wield it effectively. The stats are an attempt to mimic its previous incarnation's higher base damage, critical characteristics, weight, range/accuracy, and its lowered action points cost. If the stats are found to be overpowered (Or underpowered), I'll gladly make versions with modified stats. It also features a unique texture and icon made using already available in-game assets. 

Requirements:

New Vegas Script Extender or xNVSE
Weapon Mods Expanded - WMX (Optional; Only if you want to use the BB gun modifications from WMX)

Compatibility:
This mod uses NVSE to add the weapon to the proper form lists with directly editing them. This ensures better compatibility. There is also a version of this mod that's compatible with Weapon Mods Expanded (WMX) included in the new ''All-in-One" file. Doesn't play nice with any mod that edits the location in Gibson's Scrapyard where the weapon is located.
 
Installation:
Drop the folders in the "Required files" folder into your New Vegas "Data" directory. Next, choose one of the .esp files and also place this in your Data directory. Activate with your preferred launcher.

Bugs or Issues:
The stock and receiver are see-through when aiming at higher FOVs, but this is a issue from the base game. If there are any other bugs, drop a comment and I'll respond as soon as I can.

Updates:
- Added to more Form Lists 
- Now Affected by both the Cowboy and Old Vaquero Perks
- Now contains updated versions of the classic firing sounds
- The player character now properly holds the rifle by changing the "Hand Grip" animation in the GECK
- BBs can now be crafted at a Reloading Bench with 20 Repair and 1 piece of scrap metal. This produces 25 BBs.

Includes bonus critical chance and critical damage (Straight Razor "Dummy" Effect) that is shared with the Gobi Campaign Scout Rifle, among others.

For WMX versions: This weapon uses the standard BB gun mods added with WMX. Simply attach them from the Pip-Boy menu.

Location: Located in a wooden crate within a wrecked car pile in Gibson's Scrapyard. Check the mod images if you're in need.
