Tale of Two Wastelands conversion of the popular Fallout 3 mod known as Ties that Bind. This is an Esp only, so you still need to download the original mod. All credit goes to TheFourWings for the original mod & Ashjay101 for offering to fix bugs & issues within the mod.

Description:
Seeing as the initial conversion of Ties that Bind was purged from the Nexus & everywhere else, & with the user who converted it going silent, I decided that I'd try to convert the mod myself.

So far, it's working for me, with only a few issues on my end. If anyone else has any bugs or other issues with the conversion, please let me know, & I will do my best to fix whatever I can.

Note that this is only the Esp, so you still need to download the original mod. All credit goes to the original creator "TheFourWings," as I only converted the esp to work with TTW. If the original creator wants this taken down, then I will do so.

Other than that, I hope you enjoy the conversion.


The New Update:
Recently, a very kind modder who goes by Ashjay101 offered to fix my conversion & add some new features. I have uploaded a new file (Version 1.7) that contains the fixes & additions that Ashjay101 made for my conversion.

If any of you have had problems with this conversion before, I suggest downloading the new 1.8 update & see if you still have any problems.

Ties That Bind Revised TTW Page

New in Version 1.8:
-
Forty now carries the keys necessary to free Amanda, in case of any issues with Wilk.
-Amanda is now set to essential during the quest Ties That Bind, so that if you try and rescue her by force the Slavers don't kill her whilst she is locked up.
-Fixes bug causing Sarah Lyons to not initiate the conversation required to start Take It Back!
-The Keepsake Necklace now has it's own unique icon made by me, ashjay101
-Amanda's 3 quests now grant XP upon completion
-You can no longer dismiss Amanda to Rivet City until you have found Dad, as it wouldn't make much sense for that to be her default firing location before that point in the story
-Amanda can now also be dismissed to the Lucky 38, Megaton House or Tenpenny Suite, once you have unlocked them
-Fixes bug where Amanda could still be told to wait via the Companion Wheel or JIP CC&C Menu at points in the story you should be unable to tell her to wait.
-Fixed bugs relating to starting the Funeral quest after escaping Raven Rock

New in Version 1.9:

-DLC Functionality! Amanda can now follow you into some DLCs, and automatically fires her before starting those she cannot enter. The DLCs Amanda CAN join you for are:
-The Pitt: Amanda can be convinced to come with you to the Pitt when in the train tunnel during Into The Pitt. If she does accompany you, she will lose her gear alongside the player and be forced into a slave outfit, her gear is placed in the same container as the player's is and is recovered alongside the Player's . She is unable to join you in the arena fights but will accompany you for every other part of the questline. Marco will also give her an Auto-Axe at the same time he gives you one. If you do not pass the speech check, she will await your return in the Pitt Tunnel.
-Point Lookout... kinda: Amanda can travel with you to Point Lookout but only after Nadine has been instated as boat captain. Her "corpse" will also appear during the bog hallucination scene. When travelling to Point Lookout with Tobar as captain she will wait at the Docks.
-Mothership Zeta: She will be captured alongside the player and placed in the cell opposite you and Somah. Her gear is placed in the same container as the player's gear.
-Broken Steel: Amanda will come with you to Adam's Air Force Base and any other Broken Steel location with no difficulty.
-Honest Hearts: If Ricky is persuaded to leave, the player can pass a speech check with Jed Masterson to allow her to travel to Zion with you. She will be able to accompany you on any further visits to Zion with no issue, speech check or not.

Amanda can NOT join you for:
-Operation Anchorage: She will wait for you in the Outcast Outpost.
-Dead Money: She will wait for you in the Abandonned BoS bunker
-Old World Blues: She will wait for you in the Prospector Saloon, however she will teleport with you if you use the Transportalponder.
-Lonesome Road: She will wait for you in Canyon Wreckage.
-Fixed issues with Amanda's AI Freezing after retriving Dad's body during Family Reunion, preventing completion of the Funeral sequence.
-Amanda now takes less time to approach the player during Take it Back!
-Fixes issue where telling Amanda to follow at a distance would have no effect
-Ensures Amanda is placed correctly during Escape!, previously some issues would cause this not to happen.
-The popup to potentially obtain the perk Closure now appears immediately upon entering the Old Shack
-Deletes the blank script this mod added as well as stops it editing the Vault87DoorScript
-Changes Dad's body's outfit from the Vault Lab coat to Dad's Wasteland Outfit, which he was wearing when he died.
-Adds Talk To Amanda objective to the Pip-Boy at the end of Family Reunion and stops her automatially approaching you, she will only initiate the Funeral sequence when you are ready.

CFEE Patch
Hi all, ashjay 101 here. First off I wanna apologise for support for this mod being... nonexistent for the past little while. The new update has removed the DLC functionality as it was completely broken. DLC functionality for Amanda, as well as some other features, will from now on be included in CFEE - Amanda, which can be downloaded from here - https://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/73827

I hope to continue servicing both versions of the mod from now on.

I would also like to add, I am currently in the middle of my third playthrough using Amanda and have not encountered many of the issues that have been reported. Whilst I'm sure there is more I can do - TTB has always been an inconsistent and incompatible mod - do understand that not all issues are my fault, I'm trying my best to make this mod though.

Planned Features:
  • Functionality to make her always be the same race as the player, much like Dad, rather than always being Caucasian. 
  • More dialogue for her relating to DLC & the Mojave Wasteland.
