Introduction:
There are plenty of mods out there that add sprinting mechanics and the like to New Vegas. I tried some of them but I always felt like I didn't want to use the AP I might need for a fight on just running around. So, I made this mod. This is a small mod that adds a movement speed bonus of 25% to the PC if out of combat. Having your weapon drawn or legs crippled ends the effect. The intention is to make those errant boy or messenger quest more bearable while also helping with exploration on the overworld, and backtracking through interiors faster. All while keeping combat unchanged.

Combat Effect Delay:
As of version 1.4 onward, there is a 8 second grace period when dropping speed out of combat, if all the other conditions for the speed boost are still being met. This delay is to keep surprises and ambushes from being spoiled by a sudden change of speed. The delay can be changed to any x value by using the following console command:
  • Set MarathonerGraceTime to x

Interiors:
The mod does not give a speed boost on Interiors anymore, at least not by default. To turn on/off the speed boost on Interiors use the following console command:
  • Set MarathonerOnInterior to 0/1

Requirements:
Vanilla game, no DLC or plugin needed.

Installation:
Extract the files contents on your Data folder in the New Vegas directory. Enable the ESP file before launch.

Uninstalling:
Disable the ESP file and delete it if you want.
