THIS MOD REQUIRES TEXTURES FROM DEAD MONEY, HONEST HEARTS AND GUN RUNNERS' ARSENAL

DESCRIPTION
This weapon is loosely based on the AN/M2 "Stinger", a WWII-era Marine Corps improvised support weapon that was used on Iwo Jima. It was built by mating the stock of an M1 Garand to an anti-aircraft version of the M1919 Browning machine gun, turning it into a man-portable weapon with an insanely high rate of fire.

I started with the Battle Rifle mesh and isolated the stock. Then, I took the receiver from the Light Machine Gun and squared it off to give it the boxy Browning look. I used the muzzle device from the Gauss Rifle, cloned four times in a row, to make the barrel, then added the bipod, carry handle and iron sight housings from the Automatic Rifle. I also used the charging handle from the .45 Auto SMG, the rear sight notch from the Grenade Rifle, the front sight post from the Service Rifle and the legacy-content .308 ammo box as the magazine. I then rigged the model to use the legacy-content Combat Shotgun's animations.

Gameplay-wise, this weapon plays a lot like the Automatic Rifle, but has a higher rate of fire and a much higher magazine capacity (100 rounds). It can't be modded, but I've added the weapon to all the appropriate form lists, so that all perks and challenges that affect machine guns will work as expected.

The archive file contains animations to replace the default TwoHandRifle AttackLoop animations. I just took the TwoHandAutomatic AttackLoop animation files and renamed them, which seems to work. I know this is bad modding etiquette, but I don't know of any other way to make a rifle-grip weapon full-auto without the weapon freaking out whenever it's fired. As far as I know, the game does not have any fully-automatic rifle-grip weapons, so it shouldn't cause any conflicts. Also, the player's left hand will clip through the receiver of the weapon, but it's not really that noticeable in first-person, so I'm okay with it.

LOCATION
The weapon can be purchased from the Gun Runners and other vendors across the Wasteland, or found in random loot drops. You can also craft it yourself at any workbench using . Of course, if you're feeling lazy, you can always use the following console command (Substitute ## with the number of the mod in your load order):

player.AddItem ##000ADE 1;Gives 1 Heavy Assault MAchine Rifle

INSTALLATION
Extract all the files in the archive to your New Vegas data folder (which is the same folder where FalloutNV.esm is located) and then enable the ESP either in your mod manager of choice, or under "Data Files" in the launcher that runs when you start up New Vegas.
