One bit of nitpick: Angel Eyes can be killed by Fiend despite him being a Fiend.

Pretty cool mod but why are the rooms so dark? Especially the abandoned ones or soon-to-be-abandoned in one case. Off Beat is also a nice addition to the area around Vault 3. Makes the place a little bit more lively. The military base could use a bit more polish but it's good enough for me. I kinda like the funny bit of lore found there. But Mara? Martha? The ghoul merc. You do know she's fooling noone, right? Can we have a speech option to call her out sooner, please? As a whole, it's an awesome dungeon run kind of mod that has a permanent place in my load order.

Also, small detail, but how old do you think the Courier is? When Austin said the first courier was a little younger I thought he'd be in his mid 20s. But, no. He was 15. That's an actual kid. Not the "I'm-at-least-7-years-older-so-I-can-call-you-kid" kid.

The Courier is 35. Only a year younger than Arthur friggin' Morgan from RDR2. A dialogue with the Lonesone Drifter confirms this. Coincidentally, 35 is also the max age for the original custom-made Vault Dweller from Fallout, so it is canonically possible for a PC to be that old.

It was a really good mod. Wouldn't agree that it's a smallish mod, I would say it's average size (welp that sounds wrong) and it definitely made me feel sad, so good storytelling imo. ^-^

Hello! I'm really enjoying this mod, but I've encountered a serious problem that I need some help to solve. Sometimes asking for help makes the problem go away on it's own, I don't really understand why, but it's happened multiple times before. If it does, I will be sure to reply to this post to say so. See, I went to give one of the letters to the fella in the South area of the map, and when I got near the place, my radio and Pip-Boy light stopped working. Understandable, created a nice atmosphere... Now I can't get the Pip-Boy light to turn back on, even though I've finished with that place and left the area entirely, saved and reloaded. I just quit the game completely, about to go back in and see if it fixes itself. If I don't reply, please send advice, thoughts and prayers!

NOT FIXED, UNFORTUNATELY. I tried so many things, including reinstalling the mod, but it didn't help. And I really, really wanted to keep this playthrough til the end. Luckily, I did find a workaround. Most nightvision adding devices, and cateye, frankly stink on ice. But the Milkman mod came in clutch! I was going through Vault 11 and I found a torch in the living quarters! It's not as big a radius and not as bright and it is a melee weapon, so there's that... but it is also fun to whack people with it and set them on fire, and it provides a natural light that lets me see detail again!

Other than this Pip-Boy problem, it was well made. I obviously can't recommend it with this issue, but I had fun.

SO, I WAS WRONG! It was not this mod that killed my pip-boy, or at least, not ONLY this mod.

It was the Milkman all along! Should have seen that twist coming. Turns out they use that trick in one of their dungeons, and somehow, Family Matters just picks up the same initial trigger as you approach the southern letter recipient. You can't use both Milkman and Family Matters, unfortunately. I apologize for assuming it was this mod at fault.

The mod starts out pretty cool, it keeps up if you do the Wanda quest first, it goes a bit downhill with Karla, and Benjamin is absolute crap, the dungeon is unoptimized so it lags like hell, boring, filled with notes that will fill your pipboy with no way to remove them, the entrance is broken with rocks added by this mod blocking the entrance and when you get out you are inside the rock so you have to tcl out, and it recycles the same plot twist that the mod does two times before and another time after this. I only recommend this mod if you want some funny prompts, a juicy caps reward and a op Rocket Launcher, you don't really have more than that

Thanks for the work on this mod!

It's a simple and cool mod. Gives a good enough reason to travel across the wasteland. Has cool and somewhat immersive rewards in the end. Unfortunately, ran into several bugs; that although not game-breaking, still cause a bit of confusion and breaks overall immersion.

One strange one was that one of the wounded NCR Troops you need to heal in Camp Forlorn Hope turns into Mimi complete with the stripper attire and the actual text made for Mimi appears in the prompt. Another was a certain character who was supposed to be dead turning out alive and making me confused because the character had a single line and dialogue options weren't even possible. Also, a lot of the characters looked really ugly, like cartoonishly so; like specific dialogue required type of ugly. Had to edit their faces in GECK just to make them look normal. I don't know if that was intentional or not, but I found it really distracting.

Overall a solid mod, IMHO. Worth a look for anyone interested in simple new quest mods.

Too much abundance of notes lying around. You don't have to read it if you want to but.. I would like to criticize how mod author should put this "diary notes" concept in a quest depending on the situation. SO it would work if the NPCs are addressing to the holotape recorder to record his time being something like that and that would perfectly fine to be honest. But what's not fine is when the NPC is facing his/ her near death, the NPCs still have time to write a "diary notes", a note right before the NPCs killed. how's that immersive by the way!? I see this problem also occurred in bethesda Fallout 4, a lot of unrealistic "diary notes" lying around, even not realistically just laying besides a skeleton OMG. now I'm not a writer or anything, just wanna tell my honest opinion, an opinion and thoughts so hopefully other mod author realize how this "diary notes" concept is a mess and overused.

Personally I don't think it's a big problem, every other mod or game or even any kind of story in media did that too due to production cost. If a mod or game completely avoids such suspension of disbelief (auto-switching between 1st person and 3rd person POVs), of course, that would be very nice. But realistically you will only find such level of immersion through pure-text imagination medium like novels.

I do agree it could be done better via holotape or typing on computer console (e.g. I know righqjw23JFWsd...) though, but again, it costs extra time and effort to perfect the so-called immersion for just a free mod, sometimes the cost is too big to finish the whole project and release. I think I won't complain, but respect that designer choice instead.

P.S. I don't really like FO4 style storytelling either. Especially the forcible player/protagonist voice acting.

my  problem is less all the notes. but more how buggy and average the whole thing felt. this style of quest was done better in the vanilla game.

an overall average mod that tried to be sad but comes off flat when it uses the same punchline 3 times in a row.

the Benjamin  quest also bugged out on me when i left the bunker rand never completed so i could not complete the mod.

i also find it ironic that the mod author went on about how bad the someguy series is [ in a now deleted video]  only to make a mod that feels like a poor mans version of the inheritance. even that bunker felt like it was ripped from said mod.
