TTW Custom Beginning  is an alt start mod for TTW. You need the incremental updates to 3.2.2  

Known issue: The main quests are not displayed in pipboy when you start with CB. This is intentional! It took a lot of effort to finish those quests without adding anything to the pipboy. You can pick the main quest by back in 3 ways: talk to ThreeDog asking about dad, talk to Dr Li about dad or actually find dad if you know where to look for. You can pretend dad was a vault dweller and you just found out. 

Known issue: Starting the game normally in the vault then leaving the Vault the traits don't reset. The main scripts are set to only reset vanilla traits. I don't wanna change the original TTW/game scripts. Just don't pick the trait when you're a baby in the vault.

Known issue: Picking a trait that modifies stats then re-editing your SPECIAL it appears the engine it telling you you have -x stats left and forces you to remove some. Default game bug. Both SPECIAL menu and the FNV Vita machine thing don't account for SPECIAL bonuses. Use the SPECIAL book on the table is the only one that correctly accounts for any passive bonuses.

- fixed the Harcore door so it shows only when you completed setting up your character
- fixed Point Lookout history so it should work now but  you cannot enter in the church yet because I wasn't able to find the conditions required to jump the quest to the point where church is open but the ferry should be in town and should be set correctly so you can return to DC.

- renamed races again (problem is many of those races don't fit in the menu) please let me know if new wording is at all offensive. 
- Moved a few things inside the shack to make more sense
- changes a few scripts (Train Travel to NV Should work  now) as well as Sprint Mod or any NV or Fallout mod that requires you to have finished character generation should also work now.
- just before leaving you will be asked about Hardcore mode  and this time actually works
- got rid of a few ways of doing things that wasn't working properly
- you will get They Went that way and Following in His footsteps initial quest notifications but the quests should not appear in the Quests pipboy menu

- you get asked if you wanna play hardcore (and you should get the bonus)
- modified how the start happens with a much cleaner system . now only race entries are modified to make them playable. nothing else is touched.
- fixed some scripts to hide weapons and items that you start 
- buffed Scavenger carry weight to +50 (might be too much i may have to reduce it to 25 we'll see)

Description:
I created this mod for FO3 originally and over there it had too much stuff and was buggy and made lots of people frustrated.  So for this version I wanted to keep it simple. I only mess with races (see below).

I have unlocked most adult races.

Each race comes in 4 variants: plain, Mutant (from Pitt DLC), Raider and Point Lookout Tribal (I chose PL over Honest Hearts because they have options for all 4 races). Also unlocked are Ghoul, Lobotomite and Marked Man.  

Races have been renamed to African (African American was too long), Asian, European, Other (to include multiracial, mixed etc). 

Background Histories get certain bonuses/penalties (done from script by permanently modifying actor values).  Raider, Talon, Chinese Ghoul, Feral Ghoul become friendly to Player faction (also done from script by making the faction friendly with player faction) but Player is never added to any factions. This means if you pick a Raider  then Raiders are friendly towards you only but everything else is the same.   

There is no custom content built around Races/Background Histories and is up to you to add content and create lore for your character choices.  The easiest way to do this is to add more traits, perks or mods that create the effect you want.
