Heads up for those who use MO2. This feature is already integrated with MO2 save files. You can see which plugins are missing when you hover your cursor over a save file in the save tab.
You're kind of right, but not quite. If something somehow prevents an ESP/ESM from being loaded by the game when you are already planning to load a save without a ESP/ESM, this will catch it when nothing else would. It may not be terribly likely, but it's not impossible. The main reason I made this was for peace of mind. It's helpful knowing what all is actually missing when loading your save.
