DESCRIPTION
As sort of a companion piece to my Welrod mod, this is a weapon that was loosely inspired by the De Lisle "Commando" carbine, used in very limited numbers by British specialist military units during WWII to quietly dispatch sentries, guard dogs, etc. The actual gun was an integrally-suppressed carbine made from a Short Magazine Lee-Enfield Mk III* that was converted to fire .45ACP rounds, feeding from a modified M1911 magazine. I figured I could make something similar using base-game assets.

I started with the Paciencia mesh from the Gun Runners' Arsenal DLC and removed the barrel, sights, and Mexican flag wrapped around the stock. I then replaced the barrel with the barrel from the Silenced .22 SMG, and shortened the bolt and forearm of the stock. I replaced the magazine with the one from the 9mm Pistol and attached the rear sight from the legacy-content Chinese Assault Rifle and the rear sight from the Light Machine Gun, rotated 180 degrees.

Gameplay-wise, this weapon is very similar to the Hunting Rifle, but does less damage (roughly equivalent to the 10mm Pistol and SMG) while being totally silent. It can be modded with the 9mm Pistol Scope. I've also added the weapon to all the appropriate form lists, so that all perks and challenges that affect bolt-action rifles will work as expected. This mod is completely standalone and does not require any resources from the Gun Runners' Arsenal DLC.

LOCATION
The weapon can be purchased from the Gun Runners and other vendors around the Wasteland, or found in random loot drops. Of course, if you're feeling lazy, you can always use the following console command (Substitute ## with the number of the mod in your load order):

player.AddItem ##000ADE 1 ;Gives 1 Silenced Commando Carbine

INSTALLATION
Extract all the files in the archive to your New Vegas data folder (which is the same folder where FalloutNV.esm is located) and then enable the ESP either in your mod manager of choice, or under "Data Files" in the launcher that runs when you start up New Vegas.
