DESCRIPTION
This mod adds a new custom pistol to the game, based on the 5.56mm Pistol/That Gun. What makes it unique is that it can replenish its own ammunition supply. With each round fired, one round is added back to your inventory, so you will never run out of ammo. You still have to manually reload, however. This may sound like a cheat weapon, but if you can stretch your suspension of disbelief a little bit, one could argue that it employs a variant of the Sierra Madre vending machine tech that can fabricate ammunition on the fly. The heart of the system is a device that you wear on your belt like a magazine pouch, but which creates the ammo for you as you fire.

The gun uses a custom ammo type: Rimless Straight-walled Low Velocity (RSLV) rounds, which are designed to maximize stopping power over outright lethality. RSLV rounds feature a large, heavy and slow projectile, designed to dump all its energy into a target instead of punching straight through - like throwing a rock at somebody versus a dart.

I made the mesh myself using That Gun as a base, before adding the rear sight from the 12.7mm Pistol and the luminescent night-sight dots from the 9mm Pistol. The Fabricator Module was made using a greeblie from the Shoulder-Mounted Machine Gun which I separated and turned into a wearable piece of armor. The armor is automatically added to the player's inventory and equipped when the weapon is equipped, and removed from the player's inventory when the weapon is unequipped. The armor needs to be equipped once you find it, before it will produce any ammo.

Gameplay-wise, the weapon's stats are cloned directly from That Gun but does half the damage (lower outright lethality), and instead of the bonus critical chance, it does bonus limb damage instead (higher stopping power) and causes a bleeding effect (-1 HP per second for 10 seconds, 10 Fatigue damage per second for 10 seconds). It is considered an improved holdout weapon and can be smuggled into casinos with a Sneak skill of 50 or higher.

LOCATION
The weapon itself can be acquired after completing a simple fetch quest.

Show
The quest can be picked up by examining a terminal in the Nevada Highway Patrol Station.

Of course, if you're feeling lazy, you can always use the following console commands (Substitute ## with the number of the mod in your load order):

player.AddItem ##000ADE 1;Gives The Resolver
player.AddItem ##000AE6 1;Gives the Increased Condition Mod
player.AddItem ##000AE7 1;Gives the Increased Damage Mod

INSTALLATION

Extract all the files in the archive to your New Vegas data folder (which is the same folder where FalloutNV.esm is located) and then enable the ESP either in your mod manager of choice, or under "Data Files" in the launcher that runs when you start up New Vegas.

CUT FEATURES
Spoiler:
Show
Ugh, I am so friggin' done with this mod. The features I wanted to add turned out to be way too much work for a mod that isn't even all that popular. Originally, I was going to have the mods be attained by talking to the Mister Handy and suggesting improvements. He would then tell you to come back in a few days while he programmed new templates for the fabricator, and when you returned, you would get the mods. It turned out conditioning all that dialogue made the whole mod way too messy and bloated, and it didn't even work properly half the time, so I decided to just make the mods downloadable from the terminal in the factory.
