Changelogs
Version 1.1
Fixed an issue with both versions where the gorecaps were missing the "Alpha_Texture" flag.
I never liked how the water backpack on the NCR Ranger Patrol Armor looked. I didn't even know it was a water backpack until today, after I looked it up on the armor's Fallout wikia page and saw the concept art for it. I also dislike the knife on the shoulder because in the context of the game, you don't even use it.
This mod simply removes those items from the NCR Ranger Patrol Armor. I left the straw from the water backpack on because the baked-in ambient occlusion on the texture looks terrible without the straw there. Making a new texture to fix this would cripple this mod's compatibility with texture mods, so I opted to leave it.
A note about the new "no straw" option: A new texture is required to fix the baked-in ambient occlusion the straw had, meaning the "no straw" version will not work with reskins. You can forego extracting the textures if you prefer to use a reskin you have, however the baked-in ambient occlusion will return, unless the reskin you're using also removes it.
