Thank you for this mod. I had a hard time trying to get Diagonal Movement and Player Headtracking to work with BNB and 360 Movement. With this mod, it doesn't need to overwrite the BNB and works very well with 360 movement.
for anybody who is having head tracking work but not getting the diagonal movement there is a simple fix. youre looking for the file called:
DiaMoveNVSE.ini
this file is located in:
Fallout New Vegas / Data / NVSE / Plugins
double click on DiaMoveNVSE.ini and it should open in notepad, at the very bottom you will see a line that reads "enable controller" "=" "true" you need to change the true to a false. for some reason when i type it out without the quotes, the way you see it in the file, it shows up in the comment like this:
enableController=false or enableController=true
then save the file and you are good to go. found this info below it is all thanks to "iwantyourmods"
I was using the Diagonal movement mod and I couldn't find a way to use a type 3 skeleton with the mod so I switch over to this one. I'm using I Love Third Person and was wondering if there would be anyway I could use this but just keep my set camera the way it is without having it switch with this mod?
I've only played with this mod a little bit, but here are some .ini settings I'd recommend changing:
framesNeededToTurn45Degree=Around 20 to 30; makes the torso turning look less snappy for keyboard players bDisable3rdUnarmedMeleeSpineTurn=true; fixes 3rd person diagonal melee attack so they'll aim at the crosshair instead of at the direction they're running
If you decide to keep headtracking on,
iHeadTurnThreshold=Around 100 to 200; I put it at 200. When I kept it at the default 25, the player would turn their head erratically and constantly when they ran over anything that wasn't perfectly flat terrain. It kept happening too often at anything less than 100.
fHeadTrackAngleHMax=45.0; horizontal head turning limit. Maybe it's personal taste, but the default 75.0 looks like the character nearly snaps his neck to look at a nearby npc or corpse.
fHeadTrackAngleDMax=15.0; downwards head turning limit. Again, maybe just my personal taste against the default 60.0, but having the character preen their neck down at every single corpse looks uncomfortable and unnatural. 15.0 is more like a slight glance down. 25.0 might be good too.
bEnableOverShoulderControl=false; for if you prefer the vanilla shoulder camera or use a camera mod enableController=false; for mouse and keyboard players like me. I didn't encounter any issues yet when I left it on true, but other people claimed they did.
Some people had issues with the vanity cam? I turned it off since I can just hold F to spin my camera around. DiaMoveNVSE works with Enhanced Camera in 1st person unlike the Diagonal Movement mod, and this mod seems pretty functional in general, except that file logging bloat thing people mentioned (see fix in reply to pappiman). EDIT: Diagonal Movement now works Enhanced Camera after an update. Although it still requires a custom skeleton, mod conflicts ahoy, so ehhhh.
lol thanks, my wannabe exorcist character thought it was funny for a while, but even he finally had enough of craning his neck that far while jogging past nearby dogs. He now no longer suffers from severe neck cramping as he no longer fights the urge to stare through their souls
