Will Johnny arrive in the Mojave after finishing New California along with any other alive companions when using this mod to recruit him on the nerd path?
he should, yes! i haven't played new cali in a long time but when i went with the nerd path and finished it, Johnny showed up in the Mojave like normal
This never worked for me, i would Cap Chevvy with a hunting shotgun get into the prison, talk to Johnny, he would run off and i would never see him after
I recruited Johnny during the Vault 18 escape sequence. Once I got to the safehouse at pinehaven he collapsed & I was tasked with getting him fixer & a bloodpack which I did. I get back, patch him up & he sits on the chair with some dialogue line about being hungry, but no way to interact with him. After I went to sleep for the night he was then gone forever :(
i forget how that quest works at pinehaven, i'm sorry i'm not sure what's causing the issue as it's been awhile since i've played New Cali (TTW is stubborn and doesn't want to play nice with it)
the first one (on my character, not Johnny) is Wasteland Engineer Armor and the second one on my character is a mashup that i plan on remastering. in the first picture Johnny is wearing "Nos's Armor" iirc from FNC

Have you thought about doing the same with ALPHA if you're playing as a Jock? I'd love to see something like that.

EDIT: reinstalled FNC and going to look into compatibility
