If anything it would be extremely cool if you could write a simple example of a NVSE plugin, can't find any documentation on it, well there is on esite that explains it a bit, but not how to find function adresses in the exe.

I don't know exactly how it works, but i can program a little bit, i think enough to comprehend it if i get a simple example.

Thanks for all your cool plugins !

It's not that easy, as expert knowledge of C/C++(especially pointers and references), finding patterns in the memory of an executable at runtime and hooks are required to accomplish something like this.

For example, I have 9 years of experience in programming and I can barely grasp these concepts(with the except of pointers and references, they were mandatory in college) and I have made several attempts in the past with no success.

I am not trying to discourage you or anything, but a simple example won't be enough for you to understand, since you mentioned that you know a little bit about programming.

My plugins aren't too complicated, the code behind most of them is really simple (you do need some assembly knowledge - but unless you're needing to hook somewhere e.g. Console Paste and No Pipboy in Combat, you can get away with basic knowledge of jumps and function calls).
I use a bunch of tools such as IDA, x32dbg, and Cheat Engine to make finding things easier.
      e.g. https://github.com/lStewieAl/FalloutNV-NVSE-AudioDistortionRemover/blob/master/main.cpp
If you message me on the TTW Discord I might be able to help you with simple stuff.

@xqdcss,I know it ain't easy, but i'm willing to learn.
well i know more then a little programming, but i wouldn't want to call myself a programmer because i told myself.
i know PHP, Java, Javascript, C#, falloutscript & papyrus, but like you said some things are harder to grasp, i never studied memory managment for C,
so i guess i need to go study a bit, but i don't mind.

@IStewieAI, cool, i'll contact you soon..

Basic assembly knowledge is also very strongly recommended.

I'd like something similar to this for Hacking, maybe a little number up in the corner with the number of non-matching characters in a word you're hovering over, that way you can still have a pretense of playing the mini-game.

I was suprised I didn't have this already. But it was on Fallout 4. Also have same on Skyrim and Fallout3.
Thank you for making it for Vegas.

This was great in Skyrim but for some reason it isn't working for me in NV.
NMM shows that it's installed but in game there's no slider.
Does it need to be in the Plugins list?

***Nevermind, thought I had NVSE on this machine - didn't.
      Thanks for the great mod!

I don't know if you take requests but could you make a plugin that disables the mouse scroll wheel from zooming out to third person? It is very annoying and I cannot find any mod that does this

Thank you for making this mod! This should make lock-picking a much less trial-and-error process.
In fact, there is a heuristic you can use during lockpicking sessions if you do not want to cheat:
Imagine the 180 degree angle that the bobbi pin can rotate as a sequence from 1 to 180, first try the 90th position (like the position in the screenshot posted); if the bobbi pin does not move at all, try the 45th and 135th position; repeating this subdividing process until you find a spot where the bobbi pin moves slightly (you may need to back-track a bit though).
Then use this spot as a center point, rotate the pin to the left and right the same angle and see which one permits the screwdriver rotate further, repeat this step and you will eventually find the correct spot.

Since I noticed somebody posted a mod request, then I assume it is safe to make another suggestion: is it easy to implement a mod similar to the existing "Outfit Switcher" from Fallout 4 (https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/10282)? It doesn't need to be a pure NVSE based plugin though.

PS: By the way, I noticed there exists a Fallout 3 version of Faster Sleep Wait (https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout3/mods/23416), even though there already exists a similar mod for New Vegas (https://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/64708), it relies on "ESP" plugin to do so. Could the author port the Fallout 3 version of the mod over to New Vegas? Thank you.

I made a dll for Faster Sleep Wait NV too, but the ESP version works fine, and was the original mod, so I won't be releasing it standalone.
Outfit switcher seems like something that can be done well as an esp, and I have no desire to make any esp mods.

Thanks for the quick reply! Could you send a GitHub link for the Faster Sleep Wait NVSE (for New Vegas) if you decide not to release it?

I never knew that the health of bobby pin was dependent on your lockpick level.
