Dynamic Weapon Holstering is a simple mod that can automatically detect your currently equipped weapon and apply a holster for you.

You don't need the .esp's active but the textures and the meshes other than 2 which I have edited and included are not provided.

In addition it requires pistol holstering replacer animations (.kf files).

You only need to install the 1hpequip.kf, 1hpholster.kf, 1hpunequip.kf, sneak1hpequip.kf, sneak1hpunequip.kf nothing else.

Otherwise pistols will clip or be out of place.

This mod is capable of detecting all weapons even mod added that are categorized as either 1h pistol, 2h automatic, or 2h rifle. Once equipped it will then check to see if the weapon is on a restricted list. If not it will apply an appropriate holster to your character provided that holster is in your inventory.

It requires all mod added weapons that you don't want to equip a holster to be added to a restricted list using FNVedit.
They are aaapistolexclusionformlist, aaarevolverexclusionformlist, & aaarifleexclusionformlist otherwise weapons too large will be equipped. All DLC necessary exclusions should be supported if not manually add them to the appropriate exclusion list using FNVedit. Armors can also be excluded all power armor is by default. Bulky one handed mod added weapons that you want detected for the leg holster need to be added to aaabulky1hweaponformlist. See exclusion list and you article.

I have included an edited holster mesh for revolvers originally by Madcat22. It currently supports at least the 357, 44, police pistol and Lucky. Anything else with larger dimensions than those vanilla meshes can be expected to clip. I have also included a edited holster mesh from Kenkuro for bulkier 1 hand weapons, imagine it's like Velcro. As of V1.2c I have included a new mesh mashed up from the work of fLokii, it replaces the old semi-auto holster model from previous versions. I have also included an alternate pistol mesh for females mashed together from T6M jeans by Izumiko.

Natively this does not support any of the larger base game sniper rifles, grenade launcher or APW and some larger shotguns due to clipping.
And I can't get them parented correctly in blender to feature support for them.

Currently supports 4 holsters a semi auto pistol holster, revolver holster, 1 hand holster and a cowboy style rifle scabbard.
You can replace holster meshes by renaming their Editor ID's to those I have used in the mod. More than four or more than one for any single type are not supported.

Where to get the holsters? In front of Chet's Store look for a small metal container. Use console ID or use Item Browser.

Known issues
: potential weapon model clipping. Use FNVedit and the appropriate exclusion lists.
Any post about this will be ignored. Make sure you have the replacer pistol holster animations installed.
(Pistol should appear on side of leg not hip.)

Not compatible with the default pistol holstering animation (meshes won't align). Not natively compatible with Armed to the Teeth (do not ask for a patch from me and don't bother quicksilver500 either).

Anyone capable of making a backpack (mesh, texture, & rig/weight it etc.) that looks like a tactical rifle scabbard that aligns with vanilla holstered 2hrifle, 2handautomatic weapon animations. I can provide example photos and no need for it to be any snugger or super high poly than the cowboy rifle scabbard, supported here to avoid as much clipping issues as possible. PM me.
