THE KARMA POLICE (TKP)
Automatic Karma Perks for a Tale of Two Wastelands (TTW)
==============================================================================
Current Version: 1.1
Date: 6/6/2020
Introduction
The Karma Police (TKP) is a small mod for a Tale of Two Wastelands (TTW) which automatically grants the player either the Lawbringer or the Contract Killer perk, should their Karma levels be sufficiently high or low. This removes the player having to waste a perk on taking either of these.
The mod was created using a tutorial made by Gopher, which is linked below. This mod adds a few minor tweaks to his "Automatic Karma Perks", the nature of which are discussed in this description.
I also wanted to make the file available so that lazy mod users (such as myself) would be able to use the file without creating it themselves via the tutorial. However, whether or not you download this mod, I still recommend checking out Gopher's channel and content. They are definitely worth it!
The original video for the tutorial can be found here:
Overview
If the player has reached level 14, AND their Karma drops below -750, they are automatically granted the "Contract Killer" perk. An in-game message confirms this.
Similarly, if the player has reached level 14 AND their karma rises above 750, they are automatically given the "Lawbringer" perk. An in-game message will also confirm this.
If the player already has the Lawbringer perk, the mod will not automatically grant them the Contract Killer perk. Similarly, if the already have the Contract Killer perk, they will not be granted the Lawbringer perk.
Compatibility
Should have no issues. It changes NOTHING from base TTW, only adds new scripts and a quest, so should be compatible with TTW 3.3+.
Installation
Using a mod manager (RECOMMENDED)
- Navigate to the files tab.
- Select the "Download with manager" option under the main file.
- Wait for the file to finish downloading.
- Activate the file.
- You should be ready to play with the mod :)
You can install it manually, but I don't recommend it. If you do want to do it that way, you probably already know where .esp plugins go.
