In 10 s, after reloading your last save you'll receive an item "A Portable Storage Device".
To use it, drop it on the ground then activate it.
All your items will be safely stashed away in 4 metal boxes (located) in the best player's house, Harper's Shack.
You can use the device anywhere in Mojave Wasteland (interiors, exteriors, underground and DLC zones except Dead Money area).

Notes:
1. The "Strong Back", "Burden to bear", "Long Haul" perks might become redundant.
2. The item will be removed from your inventory in Dead Money area (grrr!). You will get it back after you finished the DLC and left the area.
3. Very safe to uninstall. Check your metal boxes in Harper's Shack.
