Very nicely done. I like the fact that the forward stock furniture covers most of the barrel, a feature common amongst military rifles of this type (like old Russian military variants of the Winchester 1895, for example). I also appreciate that the gun is a lever action in 5.56mm, which makes it a very unique weapon both in game and in real life.
I only wish the box magazine was detachable, but I understand that New Vegas doesn't really have an animation that suits a box-mag lever gun. Personally, I wouldn't mind the Varmint animations or something like that. Cycling an invisible bolt wouldn't detract from it all that much for me. I'd try to do that myself, but I haven't the software nor the know-how. Again, that would just be personal preference. This rifle is very creative and well-made, and doesn't need any further upgrades (other than sight centering; the sights are a tad too low).
Can someone help me? I went to ranger station charlie and i tried to pick up the rifle but it wouldn't let me pick it up. Can someone please help me figure out why it won't let me pick it up and how to get it?
It's an issue with the collision mesh of the trailer, I think. Try walking into the guns. In my experience, when touched, they would fall through the floor of the trailer. At least one should be obtainable after falling through. Just try crouching and reaching under the trailer after they fall.

But If I could offer some advice! It would be much better if there was a way to lose the carry handle, you know the M16 style sights! Mostly because both the carry handle (where the rear sights are), and the forward sights make no sense on a gun with a stock that sits low like that one. If you'll look at the Service Rifle or it's real life counter part the AR15, you'll most likely notice that the stock sits on the same level as the barrel of the gun....or at least a lot closer than any rifles that preceded it! This makes the lifting up of the sights in such manner crucial, because of simple practical reasons! Like aiming down for instance, which would not be easy with lower sight! Unless we are talking optical or a scope. But on a conventional rifle, they make no sense for the simple reason, of yet again.....aiming! It just would not be easy, or might even be impossible in this case due to the sight themselves most likely severely blocking the sight picture!
I don't know how if these help but, there is aperture sight ingame for service rifle, more like cut content mod for service rifle. maybe you can use that aperture sight to replace that carry handle sight( remove it completely yo ) to make it more natural look rifle with awesome ironsight.
