I'm using this one comment for all your presence mods, but I really enjoy them. It's a small thing in the world but it helps make it feel alive. Also watching Great Khans fighting Super Mutants and Deathclaws at Junction 15 Railway Station is always an interesting site.
I have to agree with the others. Fiends are Khans' clients. Killing them accomplishes nothing. It would be better if you could create random encounters where they seem to be talking to each other, simulating some kind of deal going on. The rest of your Presence mods are top notch, though. Thanks! :)
Well, in the base game, if you wear a Great Khan disguise and enter inside Vault 3, they will treat you like a Great Khan. However, even though they are friendly inside the vault, outside of it they are hostile regardless of the disguise. The lore reason behind this is because most fiends in the outskirts of Vegas are so messed up on drugs that they attack anyone on sight, other than fiends.
If you talk to some of the 'friendly' fiends in Vault 3 while disguised as a Great Khan, though, it's said that the fiends outside do actually attack other fiends, but it's implied that, for some reason, the attacks only apply to the fiends inside Vault 3.
In Aba Daba Honeymoon, Diane says "Most of the fiends won't bother a Khan", so it's implied the fiends as Diane says are f(r)iendly towards any Khan they see. Besides, I've heard the Great Khan outfit would make the fiends not attack you on sight and you would be able to talk to the fiends' leaders Nephi, Cook-Cook and Violet.
The Khans are supposed to be on good terms with the fiends because they sell the fiends chems. Diane also said "Most of the fiends won't bother a Khan" in Aba Daba Honeymoon, which seem to imply the fiends are friendly toward any Great Khan they see.
Can i merge this with the rest of the patrol/presence mods? Never merged plugins but im wayyy past 130 with my new mod list and i have no idea what to do.
Hi there! That's not a stupid question at all. You may have already found out by now since I'm so late in replying, but they do respawn after 72 in-game hours if you are away from the area that entire time.
Very nice little mod. It never made sense to me, that the legendary Great Khans didn't have more presence out there. And i like it that you made your Khans use the templates of other Khans. Saves me the trouble of modifying their stats to be in line with my game's (modded) Khans, who use the same templates.
Too often, modders make NPCs with standalone stats, that often don't match the stats of in-game NPCs. Then i have to go through the pain in the ass of adjusting them manually in GECK. You were sensible enough to use the preset templates, saving me the trouble. Kudos. :)
Thanks so much for the feedback! I always like using the templates. I'm a huge fan of consistency, and wouldn't like these NPCs to standout from their vanilla versions. Be sure to check out the new merged mod, it's called "Faction Wasteland Presence Compilation"
I really do applaud this mod and your effort put into it. I'm glad you haven't made it in line with other mods where a batsh*t crazy amount of spawns will be scattered everywhere along with them being completely un-lore friendly.
Thank you so much! I'm also put off by those kinds of mods, I can't do anything that goes against lore. xD I just compiled all of my Wasteland Presence mods, check it out! It's called Faction Wasteland Presence Compilation.
True, if you wear the Great Khan outfit as a disguise, and go inside Vault 3, the fiends will treat you as an ally because you appear to be a Great Khan. However, even with the disguise, most fiends in the outskirts of Vegas will attack anyone who is not a fiend because they are so messed up from chems, that they do not recognize Great Khans.
It does actually, because the fiends inside of Vault 3 are sober enough to recognize you as a Great Khan if you wear their disguise armor. However, the majority of fiends in the outskirts of Vegas are so drugged up, that they attack all outsiders.
