right i feel this needs to be explained for anybody trying this mod:

there is NO SUCH THING as a "counterfeit" cap in Fallout! the reason for this is because "caps" ONLY have value because 1 "cap" represents 1 BOTTLE OF WATER! meaning the "cap" is worthless but what it represents holds the value so even a "counterfeit" cap would hold the same value as a normal cap. meaning  the premise of this mod makes no sense as who cares where the caps come from so long as they represent what is used to hold value. the whole "cap is money" was added in FNV as a side quest but frankly if you know fallout lore or even go to the wiki and look caps up it will confirm my point

please calm down dude, its a mod not a official dlc. by this logic there is no such thing as counterfeit usd. because the usd is only worth anything because something is backing it, gold.

      Not true.

Federal Reserve notes are not redeemable in gold, silver, or any other commodity.

The US Dollar is NOT back by gold, silver, or any other commodity.

the "gold standard" was something the US government used as "insurance" against the base value of the USD so the USD would always have value but then Nixon made it so the Federal Reserve's stock pile of gold was a separate thing and not the thing which gave the USD an equivalent value.

the point was that its NOT the cap that holds value its the WATER. meaning even if the cap is "counterfeit" so long as it fits a bottle that can hold water then the cap has value. the ratio value of a single "cap" would therefore be 1 Cap = 1 Bottle of water but that doesn't mean the cap has to be something made before the Great war just that it needs to be a working bottle cap.  if the cap fits a standard soda bottle and that bottle holds water without leaking then the cap has value as its easier to carry 100 caps and not 100 bottles of water but  if the cap itself was pre-war or postwar made is irrelevant its why the side quest to destroy the cap machine was pointless as it doesn't matter where the cap comes from the "point" of the side quest was that the Crimson caravan company didn't like that it wasn't them making the caps aka  not controlling the means of monetary value in the wasteland.

a better side quest would have been if the NCR had you destroy machines printing their money as their money is valued less than 1 bottle cap so somebody else printing their money could set its value higher/ lower and thus ruin the base value of the NCR money

You're wrong. There ARE counterfeit bottle caps in the lore. I'm guessing you haven't done the quests for the Crimson Caravan Company or found the bottle cap counterfeiting shack in the base game.

TO ANYONE WITH "A WORLD OF PAIN" INSTALLED:

Yes, the gun shop owner Frankie "owns" that particular house and will sell it to the player as a safehouse; yes, this technically conflicts with the files of NWP. However, I discovered that AWOP uses a newly-placed door which protrudes out from the original while NWP seems to use the house's original placements. If you look around the left edge of the AWOP abandoned house door, you can find the access to Joshua's house beneath it! It's not really a fix, but this confused me the first time around and seemed like an easy round'about worth sharing. Don't let this ruin the mod for you! It's really good! =U

Is there some another way to deal with conflict between A World of Pain? In A World of Pain this house to the right of Doc's house can be bought from Franky for 5k caps

Soon I will be patching this for all versions, as a quick fix if you want to enable both, simply type "coc JoshuaOwnHome" to get into his house, and use the door to get back out!
