I'm assuming this mod does the same...Does it do anything better out-right though? The script-fixed DLC formlists or and reducing Dead Money load times is nice but I feel like out the scope. (How does it improve load times bluntly?)
Thank you for the release though and especially the work put forth on The Frontier, appreciate it all Void.
YUP does add some of the formlist DLC compatibility yes, however it doesn't edit the DLC startup scripts.
And yes since I modify the same scripts as Delay DLC it won't be compatible, however those mods aren't the type of DLC startup I was going for, I wanted a non-intrusive startup that still happens when you leave Doc Mitchell's house.
I made my own "Courier's Stash in Goodsprings" mod for the same reason. Hated the seemingly endless series of popups as I was trying to get up from Doc Mitchell's table. Now I won't have the similar series of popups when I leave his house.
Yeah, and imagine its the developers who arbitrary placed those as if it was a debug function never turned off. And not only that, they didn't made a notification, a note for pip-boy to check if loaded, but freakin' msgbox-es. -.- And the worst part, they didn't do any kind of sync or checkups so it doesn't interrupt the beginning. It looks so un-professional when there are msgbox-es throughout the beginning (wakeup) sequence which are extremlly important. I was facepalm-ing myself the first time, still do / shake my head. The first time i played the game, i felt nothing due to those interruptions so the beginning sequence lost all its effect, story telling, anything it could convey to me. JESUS BETH! How they fix that in sequel? They strip out everything else that actually worked and put in stuff they never did so it can bugger up. I think beth intentionally tries to make buggy games at this point. Beth knew the game is so buggy, they needed msgboxes in the beginning to make sure it loaded everytime they started a new game. Thats what i would do as a debug and easy early indicator. So sad. Id like to thank you for this as well. Good work! Modders, keeping Bethesda alive since Morrowind. xDDDDDD
