The voice actor that portrays Doc Mitchell in Fallout: New Vegas, Michael Hogan, also played Saul Tigh on the show Battlestar: Galactica. In the third and fourth seasons of that show, he wore an eye patch and given that Doc Mitchell looks like Michael Hogan, it was weird for me not seeing an eye patch on the character while hearing his voice. It is a non-lootable eye patch just like Tommy Torini’s.
While I was in there, I also made sure everything in the house was owned by Doc Mitchell with the exception of the skill magazine Today's Physician as well as the fridge. The man saved your life, so it’s not impossible that he’d let you rummage through the fridge or check out his magazine, but it’s not likely he’d let you take everything that wasn’t nailed down.
