I need to do more testing and update the readme, but after playing a reasonable amount of time i found placing "FCO - The Last Few Edits - (whichever version you are using).esp" right after "FCO - Pathfixing Bugfixes" and before "New Vegas Redesigned 3.esp" in your load order produced desirable results. I attempted to try loading it a few different ways and it messed up the textures for the characters it edits, except for when I loaded it in that order (and made sure it was excluded from merged patch too). So far, no pink faces or bad edits I've seen, so I'd recommend trying it yourself.
Note: I'll sticky this so others will see it right away if they were wondering the same thing
I followed this guide, and while I don't have pink heads or exclamation points or anything like that, I do have weird male bodies with armor seemingly clipped into the nude mesh and most, if not all, heads don't match the bodies, male or female.
Also, my body is frog green. And most male NPCs have these hideously deformed-looking tattoo-shoulder blades. And one female Bright Follower had pink hands.
Could you PLEASE take a look at NVR3R and see if that works with this setup for FCO 3.01?
Edit: For those wondering what "Merged.esp" is, it's a merged patch of all the plugins mentioned in the load order you would have to make yourself, if you don't want to do that, ignore the last step of the guide!
I may not use both these mods, but if you use either, I recommend it. It's just a really nice breath of fresh air breakdown of the mods and their compatibility. Thank you so much for the time your put into this. I really appreciate it.
I've installed FCO + fixes +The Last Few Edits and Redesigned 3 + update & fixes all in right order and load order. But still few characters in game (for example: Ringo, nameless male gambler on Strip, nameless male NCR MP soldier on Strip) have pink faces. I can disable any NPC with it but Ringo is kinda important for Goodspring plot and I still haven't met every NPC in game, so the issue may appear again.
Any idea what may cause it?
edit: Uninstalling Qwinn's Refined FNV fixed the issue.
Just in case you get the problem again, this mod has helped me with a few left over pink faces: https://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/63230?tab=description
Maybe Qwinn's mod was giving me these extra pink faces all along, but this fix may be worth a try.
