I made this very simple mod for myself but decided to put it out there for other classic Fallout fans. It changes the unexciting XP gain sound with the one from Fallout 1 and Fallout 2. It has been normalised to match the volume of the rest of the game's sound effects, so it won't be too loud or too quiet. The level up drum roll and music are unchanged.

There are two versions to choose from. There is the standard version, and the enhanced version which adds an echo/reverb effect to make the sound more ambient. Watch the comparison below:




Installation

Installing this mod with NMM is as simple as clicking Mod Manager Download and activating the file.

To install manually, unzip the archive and copy the data folder into your Fallout New Vegas directory. Allow it to merge if asked.


Compatibility

This mod doesn't have an ESP file so it is completely free of conflicts and crashes.
