Browsing the NVmods on the Nexus, this was next on my list. But instead of bothering with broken fixes for even more broken mods, I bring you ... this mod, YUP fixed and fuckall propered. The original author did not specify a license or permissions which essentially comes down to no limitations. In this case I think it would be better to upload a fully fixed version. Just add a proper mention of the real author and include a promise that if contacted you'd take any wanted action by the original author. Just please don't use the bsa format like edherpington did, it breaks ordering, inspection and comparison and in also slows startup time (barely)
The problem is that the author took it from someone else too. And in the modding community, a lack of permissions specified does not translate to no limitations.
If you look in the requirements, there's a link to the mod. The guy didn't like or was banned from the Nexus, or something. Some complex drama thing, maybe.
Simple Streetlights should be called Complicated Streetlights. I'm losing track of all the versions and patches on different sites. There's also a patched Viva version now. I suppose it includes these fixes?
Yep. The thing is, I (and I assume they) do not have permission to modify and upload the plugin. Hence this being on the Nexus, and that actually cleaned version NOT being on the Nexus.
- [Visuals] Swapped out Simple Street Lights for A Little More Lamplight (although Simple Street Lights covers a good bit more, More Lamplight is a lot simpler and much better made. Plus I don't think all the new lights SSL adds are all that necessary now that RWL Redesigned doesn't have very dark nights, and because the night brightness is changeable in the MCM)
