I still play FONV on Xbox 360 via backwards compatibility, with all the DLC. This (and more) is still in that "release".
But on steam... A pond in Jacobstown Motorcycle crash victim across from Ranger Station Charlie. Bodyguards at Freeside's East Gate before Mick & Ralph's NPCs, little bits of loot / clutter, you know what I mean... just gone.
When I started playing on steam, all of those things being "missing" made me think something was wrong. This "pond" made me think there could even be new weather effects.. So I checked back to see if the pond was only there if snow melted. Nope.
I saw posts implying I (and others) did not have the "latest patch", but that is the only version on the platform. The only logical conclusion was that those things were patched out on the PC release. Ironically, the Xbox 360 version plays a lot smoother for me than it does on Steam. I will NOT make the same claim about the PS3 version though. That was terrible.
Hi, I would really like to use this mod but noticed that you used the Lake Mead water texture rather than the water texture originally used in the release which is similar to how Lake Las Vegas looks in game. Anyway you can fix or clarify this?
When I made Uncut Wasteland I had to guess the water type and water height from the few photos I could find. I used RadioactiveWater at 11850, and this uses VStripULFountain at 11855. After the release of "Tokyo Game Show Diffs - Modders Resource" I found out that the game originally didn't specify a water type and the height was 11850, so it turns out I guessed the height exactly. I updated Uncut Extra Collection to match how it originally was.
Hello! I am trying to use this mod along with uncut wasteland. The pond however is cut in half. I have seen this problem has happened to other people but when I do what they do, it doesnt do anything. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.
Yup is more into adding pointless bushes from the left side of a door to the right, introducing texture flicker just because some alpha photo of the game said so. a lot of crap in yup now, also bad meshes but that's another story...
Weirdly this conflicts with Strip Lights Region Fix which changes the water height to default in Jacobstown. I was able to resolve the conflict with FNVEdit.
thank youuu, for some reason only half the pond was showing up for me (due to uncut wasteland I can imagine), but now I have the entire pond show up thanks to this so it no longer looks weird, buggy and out of place!!
I reinstalled all my mods because my game wouldn't start, and the pond is only half full, the rest is like normal. The water just cuts off halfway. Is there a way to fix it for this save or should I disable it until I start a new save?
I've considered changing the water in Uncut Wasteland to use a placed "placeable" water instead of altering the cell's water height. It would avoid this particular problem, but it would be an issue if another mod does the same thing, and I'm not sure if it would cause any other issues.
If only we had the original unpatched records. Found them.
If you did change the water in Uncut Wasteland, would it conflict with this mod or Unofficial Patch Plus (which also restores the pond for some reason)?
@Zoura55, it would depend on your load order as both of the cell's water height values could be overridden by a later mod. UPP will almost certainly be near the top of your load order. If I used placed water I could override both of the water heights back to their default values, and as long as no other later-loading mod changes the water height again, you would still have the placed water.
If another mod also uses placed water you would always end up with 2 (or more) overlapping ponds and there's nothing that can be done about that, other than just deleting or disabling the extra records from other mods.
I have UPP under the YUP NPC fix, and Uncut Wasteland towards the bottom of my load order because otherwise half the pond will be missing since I use Russell. Of everything Russell can conflict with, why is it the pond?
@Zoura55, The pond occupies 2 different cells and the water height is part of the record for each of those cells. When a later-loading mod makes any edits within a cell it will also include an override for the cell's own record. I haven't checked, but I would guess that Russell adds a door and removes the barricades on one of the bungalows, thereby requiring that cell's edit and inclusion of an override in the mod.
huh, weird. i only get half of the lake aswell. the only other mod touching that worldspace is Vurt‘s Flora Overhaul and that is an esm. even putting the Pond Fix at the end of my load order doesn‘t help. too bad. would‘ve looked nice in combination with the snow :b
I don't know what russel is but i got the same exact problem (and no, i dont have russel). So it's a bigger problem. This mod however covered the other "bad" water up, so i keep it in my loadorder.

while we're at it i love how it redoes a bunch of doors for no reason making open strip open freeside and open caesar's camp NOT WORK
Sorry, this response is so late.
