Project Nevada - Equipment-friendly. Trait change-friendly. WMX compatible version available.
Yet, main version still useable as standalone.

Important:
This is an overhaul of the Wild Wasteland encounter with the aliens. And only for that!
You've to have the Wild Wasteland trait active for being able to see the changes.
Just to be sure: Anyone of that encounter is hostile towards your player character.

Story
:
A small squadron of UFOs were on a maneuver far above New Vegas.
But three rookie pilots crashed into the dust as of telemetry issues. Their instructor barely saved its ship and arrived at the crash site, to look after survivors and secure the area.
All of its pupils are alive, but their troop suddenly gets ambushed by a full dozen of mercenaries...

Features:
  • 3 crashed alien ships appear in addition to the one which is always hovering at the end of the map, as soon as the player triggers the encounter.

  • A total of 12 aliens will spawn, including the 3 which are initially there. Existing Worldspace records of aliens are untouched. The spawn is controlled via script.

  • Alien weapons will be handed out via script: 1x Alien Blaster (Captain), 3x Disintegrator (Captain), 8x Atomizer (Alien), 8x Shock Baton (Alien) and respective ammo. The records of those weapons got transfered from Project Nevada - Equipment to also work without that mod. However, if Project Nevada - Equipment is active, the versions of Project Nevada are used of course: 1x Captain's Sidearm (Captain), 1x Alien Blaster (same Captain), 3x Disintegrator (Captain), 8x Atomizer (Alien), 8x Shock Baton (Alien) and respective ammo. The records are accessed via NVSE functions, so there is no Project Nevada - Equipment master necessary. This mod doesn't change the creature data of aliens or alien captains, so its fully compatible with Project Nevada - Equipment (which changes the creature data of aliens).

  • A total of 12 mercenaries will spawn, including the Boss with the unique gauss rifle. It's the same reference as from the encounter without Wild Wasteland, just moved into battle position against the aliens. Movement via script, no world reference was touched.

  • The mercenaries get a health boost via script, to match the aliens. The outcome will vary, but if they win the fight against the aliens, be sure that you'll have to face some damaged but still boosted mercenaries.

  • Trait change-friendly. The script works two times in one playthrough. As of Old World Blues (OWB), you're able to change your traits once legally. So if you don't take the Wild Wasteland trait from the beginning, but spawn the 4 mercenaries and their boss, you can still activate the alien ambush if you take the trait in OWB at the Auto-Doc. However, if already killed, the mercenaries (and their boss of course) are not touched again and only 7 mercenaries will fight against 12 aliens. It also works vice versa. If the alien ambush is triggered first, all NPCs have to be killed for being able to finish the encounter. When the Wild Wasteland trait is removed by the Auto-Doc in OWB, the already killed NPCs are untouched and the "encounter" will be solved immediately without issues.

  • Except of the script "VERT5AlienWWScript", no base records were changed. Be sure to load Crash on Earth after any mod which changes that script, otherwise it won't work.
