What does this do?

This mod adds 215 loading screens into rotation that give some backstory about the factions of the Fallout universe! This includes custom-made flags that represent each faction on said screens. This also includes loading screen tips that consist of backstory for each of the faction screens. The intent was for each tip to match up with each screen, but no matter what we tried to do with the GECK, it just wouldn't listen. So it's all just random. If anyone knows how to fix that, let us know.

Why does this mod exist?

I made a bunch of flags for Fallout 4's crafting system, but I've truthfully always felt New Vegas was just a better game. (It is why I'm still here.) Anyhow, I had these flags just sitting around and thought, why not make use of them in the game I love? So we spent the last two weeks remaking these flags into loading screens, adding faction backstory to the equation. My friend Kira, did the .esp for this mod. Plus, we were getting tired of the same loading screens and wanted to vary them up.

Can I see a video of this mod in action?

Does this mod have compatibility issues?

None at all, that we know of. It doesn't replace any loading screens, only adds them. We also know from our own usage that it is compatible with the Atomic Loading Screens mod. It is worth noting that this was made with 16:9 ratio monitors in mind.

How do I install this mod?

I don't use Nexus Mod Manager, so I have no idea whether it will work properly, but maybe it will? Anyhow, it is very simple. Take the files in the Data folder. Put them in your Data folder.

What do the arrows in the date mean?

Larger factions have multiple screens based on different branches or eras in their history. The arrows simply indicate that a start or end date was only relevant to a certain era of a faction's identity, and there's another screen that has the previous or following era.

What's with the updated version?

You may have read everything above and have been a little disappointed. I was too. So I made a second version that has the text baked into the images. This makes them much more interesting in our opinion. The unfortunate side-effect was that, depending on how many text blurbs you have throughout your mods, occasionally text will appear over it. Nothing bad will happen, but on the odd chance that happens, it is a little tacky. In our opinion, worth it.

Is there any mature content?

There's one curse word, one provocative woman, and implied violence in the text. Essentially the qualifications for a PG-13 movie.

How did you make the screens?

I used Photoshop and Illustrator, and she used the GECK. We've included a download to two documents. One is the old info doc we used on the flag mod that had our sources, and the other is a new document that contains all the loading tips that were intended to go with the screens. Look at them if you want. We also used images painted by Okiir, with his permission.

Can you use this as an opportunity to promote yourself, MysteryMachineX?

We sure can! We'll be using this mod in the coming weeks on our underperforming Youtube channel series: Super-Modded Fallout.
