    Great Mod.  Always look forwards to new Quicksilver content. 

    Can we have a version with the select fire function removed?

    First great mod as always. The gun look cool, work great, however i got a few slight problem regard the bunker you put it in, 1st is the bunker is a editted version of the BoS hidden valley bunker and thus has a few door that lead to nothingness, these door should be lock or block with rubble. 2nd is that it would seem you even copy the activator of Veronica refuse to enter the bunker after she decide to leave the BoS because in my playthrough Veronica refuse to enter the XM4 bunker, treating it as the Hidden Valley one. Also sometimes enter or exit the bunker in succession cause my character to exit to Hidden Valley instead of where the XM4 bunker is.

    I don't know if this has been mentioned (it probably has, but I'm bringing it up just on the extremely slim chance it hasn't):

    Binding fire-selection to the V key means that using this weapon with V.A.T.S. can have unintended/unwanted effects. This can probably be fixed easily enough via NVEdit (and I'll be looking for the way to do that here in a minute.)

    Since I already use JIP Select-Fire, I'll probably just strip the select-fire function out of the XM4RAW and let JIP S-F handle it entirely.

    This is a great mod! The gun looks sick, it's fun to use, and changing weapon types on the fly was something I didn't even know was possible and you made it seamless. I just have a few comments:


    • The bunker where it's found in has a few doors to nowhere, which open to a featureless gray void. There's one immediately past the room you find the weapon. I don't know if this is a bug on my end, but I was still able to find the recipes and the weapon. 
    • The gun seems wildly inaccurate at times. I edited the minspread down to 0.04000 to make it behave more like the M4 it's based on.
    • Third and most importantly: You say this is a Gauss rifle, and as such it utilizes ferromagnetic rounds. However, you call it a "rail-assisted weapon," but as we all learned in electrodynamics, railguns != Gauss weapons. Did you think coil-assisted, magnetic-assisted, or Gauss-assisted (CAW, MAW, and GAW) sound worse than RAW? Are you merely being lore-friendly by keeping the science in Fallout wacky and inaccurate? Are you in the pocket of Big Magnet? Answer me, quicksilver500!

    Heya, the mod works great for the most part, but sometimes the shots from the FE rounds in first person occasionally don't go where they're supposed to when using the full-auto mode. Semi-auto is fine, though
    As in, I'll take aim at something, and often times, a few shots land at my feet when firing it.
    I'm using vanilla animations. Tested with and without real recoil (and adding it to the list of ammo types for it), same result.
    I can ignore it since I prefer the semi-auto fire, but I thought it might be worth a mention to you, since this is such a great mod, and I'm a fan of a few others of yours (Plasma Spaz Redux ALMOST converted me from a Laser man =P).

      I noticed the problem of insane spread, too. Even crouched, motionless, and at 100 in Energy Weapons, the projectiles would seem to go everywhere but the crosshair, even at my feet.. I used FNV edit to change the minspread from its default value to something more closely matching the marksman rifle (0.04000), without changing anything else. It seems to do its job quite nicely now.

      what about making the weapon with a higher rate of fire? how can i do that? it uses the marksman carbine as a base but i want to "unflag" that, how can i do that
      Also, when using regular ammo, the muzzle flash is non existent

      no idea what you're talking about with unflagging it?
      If you want to increase the ROF you can use the GECK or FNVEdit, there's plenty tutorials out there that can help you figure out either program
      The regular ammo muzzle flash is the vanilla Marksman Carbine muzzle flash, so if you have anything editing that that could be the issue, or you don't have JIP installed correctly

      i have all the requirements, did no editing whatsoever and there weren't any tutorials that i found to solve my issues, unninstalled and reinstalled this mod and the muzzle flash still is non existent when using normal ammo. The rate of fire is still very slow, even when i put a high number. I dont know how to work on this geck very good and there werent many tutorials specific for my problems...
      But i mean since this is your mod, wouldn't it be your responsibility to address these issues instead of saying others to fix themselves...there are a lot of things i don't understand and my modding experience is very low...
      Thats like going to a workshop and a customer shows about to get something that needs to be fixed but the workers there just tells us to fix it ourselves...
      If i could i would"ve asked my boyfriend for help but hes in belgium on business and i cant bother him with this (im from spain, english is not my strongest suite)

      Yes and no, if it's an issue that everyone is seeing and it's something I can test and fix myself then I should realistically try to put out a fix, but you're the first person to report this issue and I've never seen it myself which means it's more than likely something on your end that's broken, that and the fact there's no way I can figure out what the issue is on your end unless I had access to your setup...

      hahaha I sure wish my mod users were customers I'd have a lot more money than I do now, nah mate, I did this work for free and for fun years ago when I had the time and motivation, my mods are as is because I don't have the time to work on them anymore, that's why I always encourage people to tackle issues themselves in my comments sections because I'm more than likely never going to be able to find the time to fix minor issues and bugs such as what you're dealing with at the moment. Sorry but I'm afraid that's kinda how it is ¯\_(?)_/¯

      i still dont know what to do, i have unninstalled and reinstalled this mod but the muzzle flash doesnt appear when i use normal ammo. i still cannot know what i can do to make the weapon fire faster and also something i forgot to mention as well, when using the Fe ammo, the game lags very much to the point where the image is frozen and i have very good pc that my bf helped me build, i dont know what to do anymore.
      And mate? i am not a guy if thats what you think i am, i am a girl (while learning english, i found out that word meant friend but referring to guys), just something to note that is all

      Are you trying to get the gun to fire in automatic mode and that's what you mean by 'faster'...? Or is the rate of fire in semi auto mode too slow for you?
      The effects the Fe rounds use are vanilla so unless you have another mod that affects explosions I'm not sure what could be causing that. For that issue, I would recommend you install the 4gb patch and a stutter remover, whichever works with your set up, and make sure you have the latest version of JIP/NVSE installed.

      I literally couldn't give less of a f*#@ what gender you are it literally makes zero difference to anything, I'm sorry but idk why you're making such a big deal out of it. Mate isn't a gendered term for me but regardless I'm sorry if I caused some sort of offence to you by using that word.

      oh no offense, i was just confused by the word mate cuz ive always seen guys saying that to each other so i assumed it was a guy thing lol. I am still learning the language english
      but yes, i do have the 4gb patch and also the stutter remover, my bf installed it for me and it works. But with this mod, idk what to do, i dont have anything that changes the explosions, its all original and i do indeed have JIP and use NVSE, all up to date and for whatever reason, the lagginess is overwhelming when firing either at enemies or just at a wall or mountain.
      And yes, firing in automatic mod, the only options i have are auto fire and burst fire, however, no matter how high i change the rate of fire, its still fires at the same speed and i dont understand why. All other guns i have, have an Auto, burst and single shot mode except for this one

      Okay it sounds like you have another select fire mod installed so try removing the weapon from your inventory, save, uninstall version 1.4 of this mod, open your game, save, download and install version 1.3 and give that a go.
      Try editing the fire rate in the GECK before you open the game with the mod installed as well

    I have most of the DLCs, except Gun Runner DLC. What file should I download? The DLC or the Non-DLC One? I tried the non-DLC but i cannot find the location

      If you read the description page, it says in the requirements section that Gun Runners is required for the DLC version.
      The description page also outlines where the gun is located and there are screenshots of the location in the images section.

    Would you consider making 2k textures for the gun? I ask because my computer isn't that good, and there's noticeable lag whenever I equip the weapon.

      I'm fairly sure the textures are 2k to be honest... You can downsize them yourself fairly easily with GIMP if you still need to?

    I absolutely love the gun, but my game lags like crazy when I use the FE rounds or even equip the weapon. Would a version that only fires FE rounds as the default be less laggy, or is it the texture quality? I don't have this problem with any other weapon I use.

      Nah making them the default wouldn't change anything, all the script work is done before the weapon fires, the firing effects are all vanilla so unless you have something affecting those I'm not sure where the performance issues could be coming from to be honest
