Featuring shreddin' KILLER URSULUS, as seen on Titan's Realm Magazine!

Hello everybody! This small, fully-voiced mod adds a new Nuka-Cola Quantum energy weapon based on my Knock-Off Nuka-Cola Blaster, which in turn is loosely based on the one featured in Fallout 4 concept art (therefore, "knock-off"). Additionally, it features some other assorted unique items, including apparel, food and clutter.

The mod requires no DLC and has been cleaned with FNVEDIT, so it should be safe for everybody to use. Still, you should always make a backup save before installing ANY mod, in case something goes wrong.

A WORD OF WARNING TO ENB USERS
This mod uses Imagespace Modifiers for fade-to-black scenes and other effects, which won't work with an ENB.
If you want to play this mod, you MUST install and use TommInfinite's IMOD Emulator.
This is non-negotiable. No excuses - especially if you plan on showcasing the mod!
And if you're gonna showcase it - please go through the whole thing! I spent a long time on it!

A brand-spankin'-new Energy blaster with custom visual effects and ammo for your enjoyment, alongside some more unique stuff. Where did it come from? Whose idea was it? How does it even work? These are the kind of questions that may - or may not - be answered here.

The blaster is cleverly called "Knock-Off Nuka-Cola Quantum Blaster" and requires both 2 Strength and 50 Energy Weapons skill levels to be used to its full potential. It does 25 points of base damage, 20 crit, weighs 1.7 pounds and has a base price of 750 caps. It can be repaired with empty Nuka-Cola bottles, wonderglue, and duct tape.

It doesn't have any mods and I'll not add any.

This blaster uses a special combination of custom ammo - Corrosive Nuka-Cola Quantum Vials, which can be crafted at any workbench once you get the unique audio schematics - and caps in the player's inventory. As long as the player has caps, the weapon can be used as usual. Every time the trigger is pulled, a cap will be removed: this means that, if you're out of caps, you can't fire. In this case the blaster will be unequipped automatically with a notification to let you know what happened.

You may be wondering, why would anyone want to use a gun that removes your caps? And to that, I say, why not? This is a good way to get rid of all that currency you've been hoarding, after all ;)

AlChestbreach has a great video of the mod here! Thank you! <3

Because today (May 17th) is my birthday, and I figured I could upload something to celebrate

I know this may not be lore-friendly or whatever. I don't care. As usual, download it or don't, I really don't mind.

I'm pretty much done with this. As this was something I made for fun, I WILL NOT MAKE ANY CHANGES. I will not add to it or subtract from it. The mod is offered as-is.

The blaster is currently being raffled away at the Rockin' the Ranch Festival. Upon first load, a holotape will be added to your inventory with some more details.

The festival is taking place at Spring Mt. Ranch State Park, near one of the outdoor seating areas close to the pond. Food and drink available - bring your friends!

If you're using A World of Pain, the festival stage will be across from the Spring Mountain Visitor Center.

I spent longer than I probably should have arranging the whole shebang surrounding the acquisition of the weapon. Therefore, posts whining about it taking too long (spoilers: it doesn't) or wanting to get it through console commands will be deleted, and severely entitled users will be blocked with extreme prejudice.

Please keep in mind that, due to the nature of the scripting required for the cap removal effect, the blaster is tagged as player only. Due to this, NPCs given the gun will not use it. If you want to change this for some reason, feel free, but the results may be messy. Support for this will not be offered.

The festival area has a bunch of stuff so weak computers may suffer for a little bit. Containers around the festival area will respawn, so don't put important items in there.

And, last but not least, the mod features kinda sorta loud sounds. You've been warned.

As this blaster uses vanilla textures for everything - including the ammo -, I'd strongly suggest installing Nuka-Cola Hi-Res Retexture by 6IX to make the bottle look better, and EXE - Effect teXtures Enhanced by weijiesen to pretty up the visual effects. The screenshots were taken with both.

To install, extract the contents of your downloaded file to your "Steam/SteamApps/Common/Fallout New Vegas/Data" folder. Then activate the mod through your preferred launcher by ticking the checkbox next to the esp. Or you can use your mod manager of choice to download the mod automatically. To uninstall, simply delete the files from your Data folder, and you're good to go. Have fun!
