Introduction
So here I was playing New Vegas and jerking off to Yes Man when I asked myself "why isn't there a mod that replaces the Vats sounds to McCree's ult (or at least his voice lines)?" That's when I found out such a mod exists... for Fallout 4. So I said fuck it and made this mod. Took me like 5 minutes.
Installation and Uninstallation
If I didn't forget and you want to manually install, there should be a readme with the details about that. I'll put it here anyway though.Installation:
1) Use NMM OR Extract Data into your game directory. Usually it's C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Fallout New Vegas
2) Check the time
Uninstallation:
1) Go into C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Fallout New Vegas\Data\Sound\fx\ui\vats
2) Delete these files:
ui_cats_enter.wavui_vats_exit.wav
Incompatibilities
Obviously, it'll be incompatible with anything that edits the Vats sounds. I think that's it though.Notes
- The path to the game directory may not be right as I have my game on a different drive.
- For best results, use a revolver, constantly quote McCree, wear a cowboy hat, and listen to the 24 hour version of Big Iron (assuming you don't already).
- This is my first mod I've uploaded so don't be too mad at me if it's shit.
- If you comment something, expect me to quote McCree.
- I have not tried this with NMM so it may or may not work
