Most likely that people lost interest. this is an old mod that last updated back in 2017, additionally the show it's based off from ended back in 2019 and fandom interest has slowly died off after years of stagnation. I don't fault the creators for it but it's just kinda sad that this is how it ends
2020, with no updates and warnings when trying to enter the website. It's unfortunate that so many of these projects die off pretty quickly, but I'm glad that something was put out there regardless.
i might reinstall just to do a playthrough later. right now I'm recording New California, and then fallout the Frontier this Friday. Anyone wants to take a look i can message here or send a link.

In all honesty, I think instead of retexturing ALL items out in the wasteland, This mods storyline/mod, in general, should ADD new items to the wasteland, found, bought or rewarded via quest. My idea is that there is a leak between the barriers between the worlds, so certain ponies have leaked through the portal and have came to Equestria, as well as new items, like you have a mad scientist companion(Human originally from earth) who hires you to Investigate this strange phenomenon as the start to the story.
Finally got NV on PC and was really looking forward to this mod but it says that it depends on AWorldOfPain(Preview).esm this is the first time I've tried mods as I'm not a big PC gamer, if there's anyone who still checks this page that can explain what this means I would appreciate it.
Also very sad that this died saw them at Bronycon in 2017 and things seamed like they were going very well. RIP Gardens of Equestria.
I'd pick this up in a heartbeat, even with my lack of programming/voice acting skill. There's still so much potential here, and I hope someday that this potential is realized.
According to their Twitter account, the project has been put on indefinite hold as of September 3rd of last year due to lack of staff. It's unfortunate, a lot of pony related projects tend to suffer from trying to do too much with an under-equipped team.
