It'd probably be simple to do myself, but I'm a little stumped on exactly how to do it without absolutely insane spaghetti code, but I would love to add a second rank to the Lead Belly perk that removes the Unclean effect from Clear water.
While it probably wouldn't be really balanced, i wish there was at least an optional setting to make water from Goodspring's source purified, its heavily implied they have clean water yet its dirty and irradiated when drinking from it with this mod..
That's the only problem I have with this mod so far. That's like Goodsprings' whole thing. Goodsprings Source is supposed to have clean water - even if not perfectly pure with 0 rads, it should have much less radiation than radiated water elsewhere. There are some dirty toilets that give rads +5, while Goodsprings water is rads +10. Doesn't feel right.
noticed a weird issue with the water source running dry part of this mod. if a water source runs dry, even if you load a previous save before you interacted with it i.e. the sink in the prospector saloon, it still says its run dry even though it hasnt yet. at least im pretty sure the water source running dry feature is added by this mod? if not, sorry for posting on the wrong mod.
its not the water running dry part, its that when you RELOAD a save from BEFORE you used the water source, it still says its dry. is that not a bug? again my problem is NOT with the feature itself but the PRIOR SAVE still being dry thing. it makes no sense that it would persist to a previous save BEFORE it went dry. itd be easier to show in a video or something than to try to explain.
Can you make various bottles have a weight of 0.1 or 0.2? It is weird and unsettling to have full and empty bottles have the same weight!
Also, I personally think that the main water source in Zion should be a tiny bit irradiated. It should be safe to swim in, but drinking it, it should provide a tiny bit of rads. There are old world goods in it such as compasses, star bottle caps, nuka-cola, old world food ("snack foods"), dinosaur toys, ruined Corvegas and Highwaymen, a whole bus, boats, etc. Plus I'm fairly certain that at least somewhere in that vast water network there's at least one waste spill, even a tiny one. There's just no way a water system that large has no rads.
Speaking of which, I suppose this also includes the Colorado River. Maybe you should have a world water type with a base of 1 or 2 RADs per drink, and it should be used in place of the majority of "clean" sources, especially the big ones. The only truly "clean" sources should be on The Strip in casinos, in Camp McCarran, in Goodsprings source (not what's piped to town or in the cave), and any small isolated water supplies.
These things can all be easily changed in xEdit to your liking. They’re not really things I’m interested in including, since the majority of people will take issues with them.
I dont know if its one of my other mods causing a conflict or not but every time I fill empty bottles from a source the game stops registering mouse clicks. exiting and restarting solves the issue until the next time i fill an empty bottle
i was able to replicate the issue but it was not a ui issue it was a hot key issue. i had real time weapon modding on and it was configured to the same key by default and was causing me to think it was ui as well. i could fix the issue by hitting z again but switching the key also works
I was wondering if there is a way to edit the empty bottles weight? I know you can edit the value on xedit, I tried but it doesn't change. I noticed that I can change the name with no problem and it shows in game but the weight stays at 0.5 despite the original value is 1, not sure why it changes to 0.5. I dont have the pack rat perk so I'm not sure why it's happening. I tried changing the weight with the Weight Rebalance Framework mod but that doesnt work either. I know is no big deal but hope you can help me with this. Great mod btw, it's my favorite water managing mod.
That's because bottle weight is scripted, thus, overwriting plugin record value. You need the WOxQuestSCRIPT, open it in GECK and CTRL+F "weight", you'll see (line 126, as for current mod version) this:
SetWeight 0.5, rForm
Change 0.5 to whatever you want (weight values smaller than 0.1 will be rounded). Save, enjoy.
I noticed a bug, a text bug or I don’t know what to call it. With the perk Nuka Chemistry it doesn’t show that you need 3 bottles of nuka-cola for crafting like in vanilla but it requires them. At first I was even confused why I couldn’t craft more than 3, it turned out I only have 10 nuka-colas in my inventory. I apologize if I made a mistake in the text, since English is not my language and I helped myself with a translator
hey i really love the concept of this mod, very well done!
unfortunately i am using the *i think it is* stewie tweak that removes healing from food/water, i was wondering if you would consider making an addon for this that would enable that for your water variations. kinda weird how bad water heals but purified does not lol im not familiar with the GECK or i would do it myself and, with your permission, upload a file for others to use
Edit: i found your other mod that allows for food healing tweaks, i set:
[GENERAL] iFoodHealMin=0 fFoodHealExposureMult=0
but im still seeing healing, usually 1pt for 1 second, but weirdly enough your bad water is healing 3pts for 1 second. it is not the end of the world, but still kinda unimmerses me that purified water heals nothing, a steak heals 1hp, and some crappy bacteria ridden water heals 3hp
